The Catalyzer is a 2-star handgun.
An advanced alchemical armament adapted from Gremlin mining and demolition devices. Catalyzer bullets envelop the enemy in an energy field that explodes after taking damage.
- Energy field only explodes when contacted by charged shot.
Fires a very slow moving blue projectile up to 9 squares away, allowing up to 3 shots before reload. Bullets from this gun tags any enemy it touches.
Fires a very slow moving energy orb that has a range of 9 squares. The recoil from the attack pushes back the player's Knight 2/3 of a square when firing. If the enemy is struck by a charge attack from this weapon while the orb is in orbit, it will detonate, damaging and knocking back the target and all nearby enemies. Having an enemy tagged with multiple orbs will increase the size of the explosion. Any undetonated orbs will expire after 20 seconds. Orbs that are not yours are not restricted to your own gun, meaning any player with any level of the Catalyzer can detonate the orbs.

Normal shots will do only 1 point of damage against all enemies.

Previously, this weapon would produce the circling orbs with the charge attack, which were then able to be detonated with the regular attack. This was reversed with release 2014-12-03.
