A Boss is an unusual monster that appears in a special location in the Clockworks. Most bosses share the same weaknesses and resistances as their monster families. Bosses are much stronger than other monsters, and defeating them often requires clever tactics.

There are four main bosses, which appear at the end of each tier. These bosses drop tokens, which can be exchanged for rewards at Brinks. More powerful versions of the four main bosses appear in the Shadow Lairs. The shadow bosses drop more tokens than the regular bosses.

In addition to the four bosses and their shadow versions, eight other mini-bosses are scattered throughout the missions. These mini-bosses do not drop tokens, although some of them offer other rewards.
