Herex is an NPC.
Description
Herex, the Whispering Venom, was a member of the Crimson Order. He owns a gremlin bioweapon facilities called Compound 42, which is the site of a Danger Mission of the same name. After obtaining the Artifact after the siege on Haven he heads down within Firestorm Citadel and places the Artifact within one of the consoles, causing the Core to activate and open.
He is later seen with a large-Swarm like creature at the entrance to the Core amazed at the power that is within.
Herex's current motives and whereabouts are currently unknown.

This character has been in the game since ???.
Before the fight against Seerus in Operation Crimson Hammer, Seerus mentions Herex in his dialogue. Since he inquires if Herex sent the Iron Assasins, that is, the knights sieging his Grand Arsenal to kill him, one wonders on what foot their relation is.
Herex assaults with his Gremlin squad The Lab during the Rank Mission A New Threat (4-2) and steals the strange Artifact.
The last level of Spark and Roar has a Recon Module left by Herex. The level spawns a black pixelated mist floating around the area too. This along the green Crimson Order insignia on the floor points that the Swarm and Herex may be related.
A Scenario Room in the Compounds seem to mention Herex. Inspecting a Gremlin Body leaves a message; The others must never know. Silence them. -H
Schemer Razwog and Herex seem to have some connection with each other through dialogue leftover near the Artifact, Schemer Razwog: Work away from the others. The Order must never know we have The Artifact. Find a way to power it. Bring it to me. Do not betray me. I will know -H.. What connection they have is unknown.
He's fought in a boss fight in the Rank 10-2 Mission Shadowplay.

| Hsst! So, you're the ones who defeated Razwog and took what was mine. You are not worthy of possessing this powerful Artifact and so I am here to relieve you of it.

Pah! I am no mere gremlin. I am the thousand eyes that watch you in the darkness. I am the hissing blade that whispers your doom. Tear down every wall and cog in this accursed place and you will find only shadows.
I cannot be stopped by the likes of you! Hsst!

| Too late again! I have already collected the power I need to use the Artifact and nothing you can do now will stop what I have set in motion.
