About Us

Golden Legion is a guild of the elite and will remain a small guild. If you're looking to join a small, tight-knit group that likes to do boss runs, danger and prestige missions, clockwork runs, danger rooms, rank missions, orb/crystal farming, and have fun with blast network and lock down, then you've found the right guild!

Guild Expectations

As a member of Golden Legion, you are one of the elite in Spiral Knights. It is expected that you will conduct yourself in a manner that reflects the honor that has been offered to you. Here are some guidelines to consider as you roam about the clockworks.

  • Earn your keep. Asking (begging) for items, especially energy and crowns, reflects negatively on you and the guild. Begging will not be tolerated and is grounds for demotion and/or removal from the guild. If you have a crafting or prestige need, you may ask for assistance in acquiring the item, provided you're willing to trade something in return. Free comes with a cost.
  • Be helpful and have fun. This is a game, and everyone playing has a different understanding of the game that generally relates to their rank. There is a difference between being helpful and being condescending; some people just want to figure it out on their own. Respect all players inside and outside of the guild. Nagging, belittling, and verbally attacking others or otherwise inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
  • Be a person of your word. If you say you will answer a help call after you finish a depth, do just that. If you start a boss run and do not intend to finish it, tell the party your intentions. While occasionally situations beyond your control will force your not to be able to finish what you started, repeat offenders will be removed from the guild. By the same token, if you start an open party and it fills up, do not kick someone because your brother from another mother just logged in. If you have to leave a party early, give notice to the party and excuse yourself at the end of the depth. Leaving a party before you reach the elevator restricts the party and will prevent any one else from joining it.
  • Lock your party to prevent random joining. If you do not want a knight elite in your FSC run, either select Solo when you create the mission, or uncheck all the boxes while you're in the mission lobby. It's simple and keeps everyone happy.
  • Ask before you send invites. If you are looking for a party, send out a message on guild chat before you start shooting out invites. Random invites are not only annoying but also can lag someone out completely causing them to disconnect from the server.
  • Speak and act intelligently. Whether in zone, trade, guild or officer chat, speak intelligently and coherently. Avoid misspelling words intentionally (i.e. "haz" instead of "has"), name calling, and all otherwise rude and offensive language. If you have to be corrected, you probably have joined the wrong guild.

As gold is a precious metal, be a precious knight.

Guild Storage

Until the guild hall grows large enough to allow purchase of member accessible guild storage, we have a bot to handle guild storage temporarily. The bot is a conveniently named knight, Golden-Legion-Bot, who can only be accessed by the guild master. Guild members may contribute anything they like to the bot:

  • Materials
  • Recipes
  • Gear and Equipment
  • Sprite Food
  • Crowns
  • Energy
  • Costumes and Accessories
  • Keys and Lockboxes
  • Furniture
  • Any other trade-able item a knight would like to offer to the guild.

No record will be kept of items given to the guild storage bot, and those items will become property of the guild for use by members in the guild. All items except materials, crowns, and furniture may be purchased for crowns at fair market value (recipes at Basil prices). Materials are available for crafting and missions only (not for sprite feeding/crafting food), and may be purchased by offering a trade (either in crowns or by trading another material, regardless of its value/star level). Furniture will be placed in the guild hall and crowns will be used at the discretion of the guild master for the purpose of the guild.

To request an item from the guild storage bot, either message RoslynStormCaller (if she's online) or send mail to the bot, Golden-Legion-Bot, stating what you would like to get from the storage. You will receive a confirmation mail stating if the item(s) you requested are available as well as information regarding trade. Once you send in what is needed for the trade, you will receive your item(s).

How to Join Golden Legion

<Information on Becoming a Recruit>

<Golden Legion is never actively recruiting, but rather actively watching for knights who stand out. If you would like to be invited to the guild, please message or mail RoslynStormCaller letting her know that you have read the Guild Expectations and are interested in becoming a recruit.

As a recruit, you should know enemy damage types, offenses, and weaknesses as well as an understanding of personal weaponry and gear. If you have no idea what that means, it would be in your best interest to train with a vanguard for a few days of log time to better understand this requirement. Recruits will be required to demonstrate mastery in an appropriate tier arena of the guild master's choice on advanced setting in addition to answering questions regarding Guild Expectations. This requirement should be completed within a few days of joining the guild.

Recruit Mastery Requirements

  • No death in any area of arena. This includes not using your emergency revive.
  • In the third area of the arena, the gun puppy/polyps must be cleanly spawned (meaning no more than 1 enemy remaining before the puppies/polyps spawn).
  • All 8 puppies/polyps must be killed before next wave spawns.
  • Currently only the guild master can witness the mastery. You must invite RoslynStormCaller to your arena.>

How to Earn Promotions in Golden Legion

<Information on Member Promotion>

<Members will have full command of the clockworks in their tier at the very least. It is encouraged that you train at deeper levels of the clockworks on varying difficulties as you farm for orbs/crystals/mats/crowns/etc. The Member Promotion test will consist of soloing the appropriate tier boss on advanced. You must be a Recruit in the guild for 3 weeks to attempt the Member Promotion.

Member Promotion Requirements

  • You must have completed the Recruit Mastery Requirement.
  • Solo an appropriate tier boss for your rank on advanced.
  • No death in any depth of the boss mission. This includes not using your emergency revive.
  • Using appropriate weapons and gear for the boss and enemies as well as appropriate vials, orbs and other drops.
  • FSC in its entirety will not be used to test for Member promotion. Champions and Vanguards will solo only the first depth of FSC and killing all enemies in the depth on advanced.
  • Currently, only the guild master can witness the mastery. You must invite RoslynStormCaller to your boss run.
  • You must be a Recruit in the guild for 3 weeks to attempt this promotion.>

<Information on Veteran Promotion>

<A Veteran will be an end-game user (currently Vanguard) and will have complete understanding of the clockworks and its bosses. Veterans will be leaders among the guild as well as training and assisting recruits and members regularly in the clockworks, especially boss runs. Veterans also should be knowledgeable of Blast Network and Lockdown and willing to lead guildmates in matches, if there is interest.

Veteran Promotion Requirements

  • You must be a current and active Member of Golden Legion.
  • Solo the second depth of FSC on advanced, clearing all 8 rooms and the skellies in the center.
  • No deaths in any room or area of the depth. This includes not using your emergency revive.
  • Exhibiting appropriate gun puppy room technique. If you do not know what this is, you are not ready to attempt this promotion. Contact your guildmaster, RoslynStormCaller, for explanation and demonstration.
  • Demonstrate ability in one game of Blast Network and one game of Lockdown. Guild master must spectate your performance. Outcome of games will not negatively affect your promotion. You will be demonstrating your understanding of each game.
  • Currently, only the guild master can witness the promotion. You must invite RoslynStormCaller to FSC at the beginning of the second depth. I will be glad to assist on the first depth as well, just for the sake of saving time.>

<Information on Officer Promotion>

<Officers are held in highest regard in Golden Legion. An Officer is a person who has demonstrated high leadership in the guild, getting to know all guildmates as well as taking a personal interest in the guild welfare via character, regular contribution to upkeep expenses, donation of materials, crowns, gear, or furniture to the guild, or other noteworthy acts that go above and beyond just being a presence in the guild. Officers will have amassed a wide variety of weaps, shields, and gear to better assault enemies in the clockworks. Officers also should be willing to lead guildmates in Blast Network and Lockdown matches, if there is interest. Officer promotions are announced as openings arise. Currently, there is one opening for the officer promotion.

The officer promotion will consist of successfully completing depth 26 of the Gauntlet (Rank 9-2) on advanced as well as one game of either Blast Network or Lockdown. You should be able to demonstrate a level of mastery of one of these games. Outcome of the game will not negatively affect your promotion.

Officer Promotion Requirements

  • You must be a current and active Veteran of Golden Legion.
  • There must be an officer opening. Currently, there is an officer opening.
  • No deaths in any area of the Gauntlet. This includes not using your emergency revive.
  • Demonstrate a level of mastery in either Blast Network or Lockdown. Guild master must spectate your performance.
  • Currently, only the guild master can witness the promotion. You must invite RoslynStormCaller to depth 26 of the Gauntlet. I'll be happy to assist you to getting to that depth if necessary.>

<Information on Guild Master Promotion>

<At this time, there is no intention to have a second Guild Master. Should this change, this area will be updated as such.>
