About the Pathwalkers

The core of this Guild is a diverse pack of friend-like entities that enjoy getting together and smashing through virtual challenges. Expansion is a primary goal, along with exploration, extermination, and the exsanguination of our opponents (okay, we're not that crazy). Mostly, we're just a bunch of folks that intend to have a good time and, if possible, turn a profit.

The Charter

Maintain The Masquerade

  • You aren't obligated to give any information about yourself to anyone. If you're one of us, that's good enough for us.

Train The Initiate:

  • Take time to give newbies a hand. We all started somewhere; try to make sure they end up where they're going. Be part of the solution.

Honor The Veteran:

  • Veteran Pathwalkers lead from the front. They'll have experience to share; learn from them.

Respect The Peer:

  • Even though we're aiming to be a solid, self-reliant guild, pay proper respect to those that earn it. Don't be in a position to take crap from anybody, though.

Leave No Stone Unturned:

  • If there's energy to spare, open doors for some extra loot. Run a Danger Zone. Rise to the challenge.

Never Turn Your Back On The Enemy:

  • Purge every enemy before you push through. Leave nothing in your wake.

That Which Does Not Kill You Has Made A Tactical Error:

  • If an enemy manages to take you down, see that it gets killed. Energy is free. A good Guildmate should be willing to oblige you.

Only You Can Prevent Friendly Fire:

  • Avoid blowing each other up. It's just not a nice thing to do.

Ranks: Responsibilities and Requirements

Guild Master (Commissioner)

  • Requirements: Found the Guild, I guess?
  • Responsibilities: BE IN CHARGE

Officer (Deputy)

  • Requirements: Reach Veteran Rank, be nominated for the position, have an effective grasp of tactics, pass the Officer Test.
  • Responsibilities: Advise teams in the Clockworks, maintain politeness and efficiency, set an example for your Guildmates.

Veteran (Vanguard)

  • Requirements: Reach Emberlight, be a competent technical fighter (moreso than a Member).
  • Responsibilities: Serve as Vanguard for any (even non-Guild) teams in the Clockworks.

Member (Trooper)

  • Requirements: Solo the Snarbolax, with a Guildmate of at least Member rank spectating in a non-combat role.
  • Responsibilities: Provide effective combat support in your preferred role.

Recruit (Initiate)

  • Requirements: Play the game and be invited to the Guild, basically.
  • Responsibilities: Uh, be an Recruit, work on earning Trooper rank.

Book of Tactical Doctrine

On Beasts and Fiends

  • Engage with Piercing weapons, if possible. Otherwise, engage Beasts with Shadow and Fiends with Elemental.

On Constructs and Undead

  • Engage with Elemental weapons, if possible. Otherwise, engage Constructs with Shadow and Fiends with Piercing.

On Slimes and Gremlins

  • Engage with Shadow weapons, if possible. Otherwise, engage Gremlins with Piercing and Slimes with Elemental.

On Turrets

Turrets come in three varieties: Gun Puppy, Howlitzer, and Polyp. Gun Puppies should be engaged with Elemental (or, failing that, Shadow) weapons. Howlitzers should be engaged with Piercing (or, failing that, Elemental) weapons. Polyps should be engaged with Shadow (or, failing that, Elemental) weapons. Know the firing patterns that particular turret types use. The best way to learn these is through experience.


Lair of the Snarbolax

  • Primary targets will be Beasts (especially Wolvers), with occasional Gun Puppies. Piercing weapons are a safe bet, though make sure to carry a back-up for the Gun Puppies.

Royal Jelly Palace

  • Primary targets will be Slimes (especially Jellies). Other enemies include Polyps, Lumbers, and Silkwings. Shadow weaponry are your best friend, here, with Elemental coming in handy for everything that isn't a Slime.
