The Recon Rangers are an elite team of knights tasked with recovering intel from some of the most dangerous levels in the clockworks.

This group was introduced with release 2012-06-28.

According to the descriptions of several items such as the Gold Dragon Armor and Iron Wolf Helm, this group was formed by the union of fearless knights of yore who specialized in the elimination of high-profile Morai targets. After disbanding, their surviving members were united by Desna to form the Recon Rangers. Desna remains the leader of this unity.

All members of the Recon Rangers shield themselves with The Bitter End.

Miscellaneous Recon Rangers are found in the lobbies and Treasure Floors of Danger Missions. A few are present during the 9-4 Mission: Hall of Heroes. The player must investigate a trapped squad of Recon Rangers during the 10-1 Mission: It Came From Below. These NPCs do not participate in mission combat.

There is a Ranger Signal Flare pickup that summons a Recon Ranger who provides support fire with an Autogun.
