This is a documentation subpage for Template:Unsigned (see that page for the template itself). It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

This template can be used for adding a signature to unsigned talk page messages left by users.

Example:

{{unsigned|Username}}

Returns as:

—Preceding unsigned comment added by Username (talk • contribs) . Please sign your posts with ~~~~

A timestamp may also be added as a second parameter. The second parameter will support any text so any date format may be used.

Example:

{{unsigned|Example|23:59, 31 December 2000}}

Returns as:

—Preceding unsigned comment added by Example (talk • contribs) 23:59, 31 December 2000. Please sign your posts with ~~~~
