Sunami's Intro from years ago

My Almiran fanon lore!

In case you didn't know Sunami Eye, well he's kinda of an honourable member of the Spiral Empire, formerly known as the spiral order until the extremely ambitious agent Kora decided to expand her influence. Currently, Sunami Eye is earning off his low ranked job; the dangers of his occupation hinted that he had a high chance of promotion! Yep and he kept earning, working nearly twice as much as a veteran. He thought his promotion could lead to a REVOLUTION, lead by him and his loyal followers, all of them ranking at the bottom of the Empire's pyramid.

Anyways, this dream seemed so far stretched, it might look unachievable but was indeed, achievable. It was like someone mentioning the word "revolution" then getting flogged by a mob of spiral-fanatics(or are they just fear driven?) though a well devised plan could outsmart most of them even the "brilliant and power-hungry agent Kora". She ain't so smart did you not know that? Indeed she was a talking parasite to her "comrades" - I refuse to use the term "friends" which sounds more contradictory. And you'll get to know why later.

But during that time something else existed as well. It wasn't just the spiral Empire that was terrible and treated their recruits as slaves; this era also saw something equally bad and worthy of competition with the spiral Empire. It was: THE ALMIRIAN EMPIRE!(explosive ear rape starts to play in the background) And their leader? Well it's obviously the wielder of a thousand birds - L0rd VanaDUKE duh! His hatred of the spiral Empire could bring Almire's fires to the core. Yes Duke knows best when commanding hordes of undead legion thingies into destroying lands and placing flags. It was all terrible. Everything was terrible and wrong. Why did the spiral order even exist? Right now, Sunami could just wish the existence of the spiral order back again but the sight of Kora would just melt those thoughts away. Things used to be better in the past did you not know that?

Chapter 1: The wild hunters.

Immediately as dawn arrived, Knights from all cabins under specific teams were rushed out into an open clearing overlooking a giant ravine which gave them a glimpse of today's adventure. It was through the outside they saw the everlasting machinery of the clockworks churning and rotating worlds in a sequence, and it has always been that way for several milenia. This thought puzzled Sunami-Eye. Although he has always been fascinated with the machine's eternal will to carry out its duties, he was more concerned about the force behind this non-sentient creature

All Knights were arranged into rows forming an even and perfect pattern of 12 Knights in each row and a total of 7 rows side by side. Beside Sunami, there was a novice guardian who tried to start a conversation with him. "Hey bud, do you have any idea who our commander is. I don't see anyone ahead." She tried to speak quietly while maintaining a serious tone. Sunami thought about her question for a while. "We shall wait a bit First ...maybe our mission is centered around that miserable crack in the ground and you know no commander would risk their life escorting us into that mechanical dungeon." He hesitated to tell her about the behaviour of the commanders but she seemed rather unfazed at his answer. She was well and aware that eventually lives will be lost today but she still wishes to pierce her worries without doubt like a nail going through a brick wall. To her that was the greatest strength of a guardian Knight but after taking a look at the other squads occupied with Knights wearing tattered armour with minimal protection, she felt a sense of concern shake her.

Sunami was placed under the team for typical swordies who weilded typical calibers and had themselves forced into typically faulty cobalt armour. This squad of frontline fighters will be the first for today to lead their daily expedition into the mechanical horrors of the clockworks. The Knights were given an announcement by an associate of leutanent Vaelyn, as she had other duties and couldn't make it to the scene. Lampshade, Vaelyn's proud squire stepped up to speak with the adventurers.

She donned a miracle cloak and an ironmight plate helm. It was uncertain which alchemy path she word choose when ascending her miracle cloak should it follow the chaos, grey feather or divine line. And that was the hot topic amongst everyone who saw her as her choice for armour would determine her role in the order and on the battlefield.

Lampshade dragged herself through the crowd at 6:50a.m and only managed to make it to the front where everyone could see her 5 minutes later. Exhausted from bulldozing through a horde of guardian Knights and bombers, she faced everyone with her confident teal eyes signalling the begining of a new expedition. "Ah! I see you've all made it up this early. Amazing." A few Knights begin to cheer her on while several bombers just shoke their heads in disapproval after being pushed out of their lines by the squire. " Today's agenda will be of course something to do with this... Umm giant ravine. It has already been here for a while and Vaelyn's says ya"ll could give it a little check out. Of course if we're lucky there might be some hidden answers to this world and we can restore the skylark once more! Now don't you just want to go home?" Lampshade tried to strike the crowd with a bolt of motivation and surprisingly many Knights cheered in agreement.

On the contrary, Sunami glared at her and uttered a sentence quietly. "You aren't coming with us aren't you? I know it. It has always been this way." And although his words were spoken so softly, Guardian Knight Celio had heard him as she was less than a meter away.

"Excuse me.."

"Oh you again. What do you think

about this?" He responded calmly.

"Perhaps she might consider coming along but a squire is always busy with other matters aside from the battlefield. I know this from experience."

According to Sunami, all his past orders have been directed towards the low-ranks such as himself who are part of the majority of worthless Knights in the Spiral Empire's perspective. The concept of putting a veteran before yourself in a game for survival is not foreign at all. If fact it is highly encouraged whenever chaos ensues and when the chances of casualties are high enough to wipe out an entire population. Celio's response just made him evaluate the situation even more.

"So are you going to support her if she chooses to fake out and leave the rest of us tier 2 Knights for dead?"

Celio kept recalling the days when she was a squire for Feron, one of the most successful warriors of the Spiral Empire. It was a worthy experience, although it bombarded her with plenty of work and long hours, she would still take the job if offered again. Sometimes... Or maybe one time she was requested to fight the morai war back on Isora while siding by Feron and Vaelyn, and the isoran army. As a squire she felt a sense of importance and pride in what she did and the effect it had on the people she did it with.

Then again looking back at Sunami... "Oh yes, I wish she would! Actually I would be more than glad to see her come along ...Right since she is Tier 3 and would definitely be the driving force of our legion. But it's only when she stays with the fear of being injured that I cannot accept."

"That sounds reasonable enough but I'm still doubtful..." Sunami gave his thoughts on Lampshade's intentions.

Lampshade raised her hand and called for the Knights to get into proper formation as the elevators have been arranged and ropes which were obviously old and overused were tied to the edges of the ravine and thrown into the abyss of the world beneath them. It was the ropes that the Knights feared to use as an elevator could only take four members at a time.

The rest of the Knights including Sunami and Celio prepared themselves for a dangers by getting together some health and remedy capsules. Weilded his sword on the left hand, Sunami adored the caliber's blade although rusted and chipped it still reminded him of his service in the isoran war, which he fought with a reason.

The sunlight embraced the lush green grass of Haven where everyone was assemnled, and spotlights which were thought to be dead begun to flicker and untill they properly projected their light. Sunami glanced back at his environment as his team was ready to descend. He felt a bit of sadness as if time had chased him out of his comfort zone, forcing him to prepare for a mission he couldn't care less about. This was what he hated about the Empire, the fact that you do things against your own will for an advantage only others can enjoy... And they do nothing in return for you.

Marching angrily and reeking of frustration, Sunami eye drew his blade with a stiff grip. He adjusted the grey visor of his helm to get a better view of the chaos that laid ahead, revealing dark blue eyes and a sarcastic grin. The orange Knight ahead of him pointed to a rope and looked at Sunami with a bright and genuine smile.

"Let me tell you something: we're going to a wolver den at depth 14 and our objective is to search for any weird energy sources or ancient shells. Tell this to the next person behind you, also we're using ropes."

Some non-canon Almiran lore I've been working on for a while (subject to change!)

East Almire was founded by Ignis, a former deity and the daughter of Vog, an ancient god from a forgotten era on the brink of death after languishing through thousands of years of being unacknowledged by the mortal realm. Ignis pledged to ensure her father's survival by giving up her immortality in order to make contact with mortalkind and gather him worshippers to fuel his continued existence, as the boundaries of time and space forbade any interaction between forsaken gods and the mortal realm. Her early life was dedicated to being a missionary for Vog's cause, and with every devotee she indoctrinated, her father's health improved by a fraction. Ignis would journey across tribes and villages, and eventually kingdoms, spreading the word of Vog's teachings and his status as the god of fire, each trip yielding her a handful of new converts.

A few years passed and Ignis had amassed a large group of worshippers who built a huge shrine on the peak of a mountain as a symbolism of their devotion to Vog. This became the only place Vog could physically manifest, allowing his daughter and worshippers to interact with him. As Ignis was responsible for amassing Vog's worshippers, thus acting as his messenger and high priestess of his cult, the mountain was named Mount Ignis in her honor.

Vog's followers lead life in Mount Ignis comfortably until the climate shifted, rendering survival difficult due to harsh, long winters, barren soil and a lack of rainfall. One day, Ignis was called to Vog's altar where her father disclosed to her an important discovery. He told her that he had found a vast and uninhabited fertile land with the perfect climate just bordering the mountains, its lush scenery being the birth from the ashes of a volcanic eruption a millennium ago. Enthralled by the mystical nature of this land, Ignis rallied Vog's worshippers, and under the guidance of her father, led the entire population of Mount Ignis to their new home.

After 3 days of continuous travelling, the settlers finally reached their destination, but conflict arose when they discovered a group of nomads who had arrived just a day ago and also wanted the land to themselves. As both sides were hesitant to resort to fighting due to the losses they would suffer, an agreement was made to divide the land between the East and the West, with Ignis and Vog's worshippers occupying the eastern side, and the nomads on the west.

Both parties also agreed on a common name for the new land which they dubbed as Almire, with "east" and "west" used to refer specifically to whose Almire it was.

Distrustful of the West Almirans, Ignis and the rest of Vog's cult rushed to build fortified villages and established civilization in East Almire within a short span of time as preparation for any potential sieges by their neighbors. The people of East Almire needed a ruler, and so Ignis rose to the occasion to be crowned as queen of her land. For the rest of her rule and the centuries to come, the military became a huge focus and a priority for both parts of Almire, with all its youth mandated to be conscripted once they reached 17. Decades later, new weapons and defenses were being constantly developed, and several strongholds and fortresses were built to defend the most populous towns of East Almire following many sieges from distant kingdoms, the largest being the Grand Citadel in the capital of Firestorm which also served as the home of Ignis. It was written in law by Ignis that each year a group of East Almirans would be chosen to embark on a pilgrimage to Mount Ignis in order to perform religious duties in the name of Vog, who in exchange promised to grant them strength and bravery in battle.

Ignis made sure that the belief of Vog as a god and superior being was entrenched within the mind of every East Almiran, so far that any sign of infidelity would warrant great punishment. Both the fear and reverence of Vog had contributed to his growth in power, to the point that he was even capable of interacting with the mortal realm outside his shrine and was known to roam the streets of East Almire under the guise of a regular citizen.

During the height of his power, every flame in the land would bend to Vog's will, from the speck of ember drifting atop the highest mountain to the raging bushfire of the lowest valley, that eventually it felt like his control over ash, fire and magma had no limits. Vog's abilities were also linked to his emotions which could result in disastrous consequences if left unmanaged that eventually the God who desired power found it nearly impossible to restrain his own. As a measure to prevent the potential widespread destruction of the mortal realm beyond his control, Vog created a vessel within his shrine in the form of a searing gemstone to contain his destructive abilities. The gemstone was embedded in the forehead of an obsidian statue of Vog himself, its tremendous, fiery powers resonating through the peak of mount Ignis and transforming it into the blazing summit of an otherwise frigid mountain.

103 years had passed since Ignis gave up her status as a deity to live life as a mortal, and hence she was bound by their rules and limitations. After spending slightly more than a century in her mortal form, she had come to accept the inevitability of her demise and seeked solace in the fact that she had fulfilled a purpose she would have never achieved as a deity. The following dawn after her 103rd birthday, Ignis was no more, and all that was left of her were her three children, all potential heirs to the throne.

Generations of East Almiran Lords and Ladies succeeded Ignis and her children, making them all direct descendents of Vog. However, his name was eventually lost somewhere in time as faith in him dwindled within the mortal realm without the religious influence of his daughter. As a consequence, the last 50 or more East Almiran rulers were oblivious to the fact that they descended from him, let alone aware that he was the father of Ignis. 1500 years after the death of his daughter, Vog was left almost powerless from spending another millennium being forgotten, with the people's disbelief in deities and the prioritization of scientific explanations to be blamed for his fading image.

Desperate to reclaim the power he once held ages ago, the forgotten god tried to access the magic sealed within the vessel in his shrine. He tried tirelessly for weeks, but all his efforts were in vain until the grim realization dawned upon him that the crystal itself was a property of the mortal realm, and was therefore inaccessible to all forsaken deities.

With all his energy consumed and plagued by the overbearing weight of distress and regret that sunk into him, Vog spent his last days moping around his shrine and hoping that any mere mortal would miraculously submit to him once more. Considering the odds stacked against him, his wish was fruitless and the forsaken god was left to die in the arms of his obsidian statue. Looking into its eyes with his dying gaze, Vog could only make out the example of the revered god he should have been, as in his deathbed he was at best a caricature of his former self.

Vog's death went unnoticed by the changing world around him. Centuries later, both east and west Almire were united together as one nation following a decade of war with two rival kingdoms, Valuria and Kambria, who were also battling against one another. Since the unification, Almire has been ruled by two leaders from their respective families that once controlled the nation in its divided state, bolstering its military might and allowing a short period of relative peace to be achieved when the invaders fled. The latest descendent of Vog by the name of Vanaduke ascended to the throne during a time of conflict when tensions between Almire and its neighbours worsened and brought all three kingdoms into yet another era of war. Co-ruling alongside him was Helia, a heir of the Markova family of West Almire who was on a personal mission to reclaim the powers of her past self. While Vanaduke was the direct descendent of Vog, a fact unbeknownst to him for most of his early life; Helia was the incarnation of the frost Goddess Skolver and has known this since the moment of her birth.

Almire was placed under a great siege when both the Valurian and Kambrian leaders had agreed to join forces, fearing that their kingdoms would be threatened by Almire's growing military and prosperity. Both Helia and Vanaduke's forces stood a meager chance against the opposing armies ravaging their land, and though on many occasions it felt as if defeat was inevitable, the unmatched loyalty and determination of the Almiran crusaders meant that they would persevere even during the most dire situations.

While on his way to the war room, Vanaduke encountered the spirit of Ignis within the great archive of the Almiran citadel. She conveyed to him the truth of his lineage and told him of Vog's vessel in his shrine, in it which contained his limitless fiery powers that could potentially turn the tide of the war in Almire's favour.

Before Ignis could completely disclose the correct pathway to Vog's shrine, the little time she was allowed in the mortal realm had concluded, forcing her spirit to return back into the afterlife abruptly and leaving her descendent with many unanswered questions.

Determined to end the plight of his people and right the injustice committed against his land, Vanaduke travelled to Mount Ignis alone, leaving in his place his younger brother, Timerus, as his temporary successor.

(Insert a bunch of stuff about journeying to the mountains, attaining Vog's powers and destroying Almire.)
