Intense Flame Short Story
Hear now the origin of Intense Flame...
Flamethrowerz, a pyromancer; Ispyadeadguy, a veteran; and Babyeightyone, a recruit; sought out the fire beast Vog[1] to harness its intense power. They were sucked in by the unfamiliar dreadful energy of the Black Oblivion and through persistence and luck, they found it.
It was an immense creature, shrouded constantly by a cloak of red fire, ashes, and black smoke. It wrinkled its snout at them and bared its fangs in a snarl. The Vog's mouth was an unholy burning graveyard with the ensnared souls of knights trapped in its ever-burning fangs. It loomed over them, its flaming eyes glaring; the recruit nearly dropped his Vanquisher[2] in fear. The small party felt their gear heating up from just one look from the Vog.
Suddenly a stream of fire shot out from the Vog’s body. They raised their shields in time but were still blasted away by its force. It charged them again but this time with intense fury. It did a 360° spin attack, Ispyadeadguy and Babyeightyone were caught in the flaming shock wave. They attacked it as they fell while the recruit stabbed its paw. It dispersed in a cloud of ashes and sparks, only to swiftly reform behind them, seemingly unharmed.
The Vog let out a primal roar and a hot aura exploded from it and for a moment, they lost consciousness. Yet when they opened their eyes, Flamethrowerz still stood. He promoted the recruit to be the same rank as he. Then his eyes went black and fire poured from his body, an “Intense Flame” to match even that of the voracious Vog. Knight and beast fought, exchanging volatile blasts of ominous inferno. The weakened companions saw an opening, crushed their last Sunsilver, and threw it at the Vog's fiery eyes to blind it. Flamethrowerz saw this opportunity and bashed his shield into its mouth chipping away a fang the size of a Tortodrone. The Vog screeched in pain and the firey cloak dispersed along with the beast, but they still felt its ominous presence.
As the smoke cleared, Ispyadeadguy was nowhere to be found. Flamethorwerz carried the flaming Fang with his bare hands and the two brought it to The Great Colony[3]. There they made a number of swords[4].
The weary pair returned to their guildhall to recover. When Baby awakened the next day, Flamethrowerz was gone. All that remained was his burnt blanket and traces of black ash.
Flamethrowerz, the original Guild Master has yet to be found.
