Does anyone know whether Gran Faust is supposed to take a bit longer than other weapons to charge? I seem to spend more time to charge my Gran Faust compared to my other weapons. I don't know why, but my Gran Faust at Heat Level 10 (so with a CTR Medium) and with no CTR UVs takes around 5 seconds to charge (used a stopwatch). Meanwhile, I just tried other weapons. My Final Flourish, Leviathan Blade, Voltedge, Sealed Sword, and Blitz Needle (all at Heat Level 10 and without any CTR UVs) take around 2.5 seconds to charge (also used a stopwatch). I know I do not use my Gran Faust's charge attack that often, but I would still like to know why this happens and whether other people also have encountered this. --[[User:Avak989|Avak989]] 23:35, 26 June 2013 (UTC)

24/100 charges self-cursed with a level 7 gran faust in the training hall (depth 0?). --Pinto 16:44, 19 May 2011 (UTC)

And?

So what?

--Vlad 23:11, 19 May 2011 (UTC)Vlad

What Pinto means is that if we can get the average percentage of inflicting Curse on ourselves, it might be useful to put it on the Wiki so that other users get an idea of how often they may curse themselves. Saphykun 23:40, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
That seems pretty accurate, I've been using the regular Faust for quite a while, and it seems to curse ~25% of the time.

Can someone please confirm this for me?

On the Faust's page, it says it can sometimes cause curse upon the second hit in the combo. Is this true, and if so, does it have a chance of cursing yourself?

Thanks.

I have frequently used the Faust and its combo, and I have never been cursed once. Charge attack can curse you, yes, but on the second part of the combo? Either I'm really lucky, or cursing oneself on the second swing is impossible. Saphykun 22:27, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
Ah, gotcha. No, that's not what the wording meant. Specified who receives the curse :) Saphykun 22:30, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
Also, the stat bars seem to indicate that the Gran Faust is much faster then the Divine Avenger. Is this true?--XTUX345 14:31, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
Would be interested to know this as well - and if it's not faster a note should be added to the page--StuffMaker 03:15, 13 August 2011 (UTC)

Curse resistant equipment?

Has anyone tested whether or not curse resistant equipment (for example, Divine Mantle/Veil) effects how often you're cursed with Faust/Gran Faust's charge attack?

--It doesn't, but it can significantly reduce the amount of time cursed. A full divine set (6 bars of curse resist) brings the time down to 25 seconds.
