This Page

This page will become the directional page for the CloudUP templates. It will includes useful information such as tutorials and guides, as well as links and descriptions for all CloudUP components.

About CloudUP

CloudUP is a collection of templates intended for use on Userpages (also known as UPs, hence my choosing of the name ;) ). Many templates are completely basic and require little-to-no wiki markup knowledge, such as the Achievements module. However, some require a mediocre degree of wiki markup knowledge, such as the PageHeader and PageFooter containers. Some templates will be pre-built and setup for quick Userpage creation.

CloudUP makes use of HTML divs and the margin/padding attributes of them. The rendering of such elements can vary greatly between browsers, and therefore CloudUP may not show as expected. I built CloudUP in both Firefox and Chrome, so you can expect it to be optimized for those two. See the below list for known browser issues:

  • Mozilla Firefox (No Issues Known)
  • Google Chrome (No Issues Known)
  • Safari (No Issues Known)
  • Konqueror (Not Tested)
  • Opera (Not Tested)
  • Internet Explorer (No Issues Known)

List of Templates

Below is a list of templates currently related to the CloudUP collection, as well as their production status.

I'll write up more details on each Template once I have a substantial amount finished, and after I re-do all of the documentation in a consistent form.

Current Issues

Below is a list of currently known issues with CloudUP templates.

  • Links on default background color are too hard to read. This might also become an issue if a user modifies the background color.
  • The Contents module has some issues:
    • Headings originating from Templates do not register on the TOC.
    • Headings forcefully have extra formatting, including that very pesky line underneath. I'd like to be able to manage this.
    • The Contents module itself is a bit redundant. It would be nice to be able to put the actual Table of Contents directly inside the module as text, rather than a new box. This goes along with changing the colours of the TOC...
