Golden” is a word associated with gold, a precious metal, and a descriptor equivilent to advantageous or promising. “Legion” is a word associated with an elite group as in an army.

About Us

Golden Legion is a guild of the elite and will remain a small guild. If you're looking to join a small, tight-knit group that likes to do boss runs, danger and prestige missions, clockwork runs, danger rooms, rank missions, orb/crystal farming, and have fun with blast network and lock down, then you've found the right guild!

Guild Expectations

As a member of Golden Legion, you are one of the elite in Spiral Knights. It is expected that you will conduct yourself in a manner that reflects the honor that has been offered to you. Here are some guidelines to consider as you roam about the clockworks.

  • Earn your keep. Asking (begging) for items, especially energy and crowns, reflects negatively on you and the guild. Begging will not be tolerated and is grounds for demotion and/or removal from the guild. If you have a crafting or prestige need, you may ask for assistance in acquiring the item, provided you're willing to trade something in return. Free comes with a cost.
  • Be helpful and have fun. This is a game, and everyone playing has a different understanding of the game that generally relates to their rank. There is a difference between being helpful and being condescending; some people just want to figure it out on their own. Respect all players inside and outside of the guild. Nagging, belittling, and verbally attacking others or otherwise inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
  • Be a person of your word. If you say you will answer a help call after you finish a depth, do just that. If you start a boss run and do not intend to finish it, tell the party your intentions. While occasionally situations beyond your control will force your not to be able to finish what you started, repeat offenders will be removed from the guild. By the same token, if you start an open party and it fills up, do not kick someone because your brother from another mother just logged in. If you have to leave a party early, give notice to the party and excuse yourself at the end of the depth. Leaving a party before you reach the elevator restricts the party and will prevent any one else from joining it.
  • Lock your party to prevent random joining. If you do not want a knight elite in your FSC run, either select Solo when you create the mission, or uncheck all the boxes while you're in the mission lobby. It's simple and keeps everyone happy.
  • Ask before you send invites. If you are looking for a party, send out a message on guild chat before you start shooting out invites. Random invites are not only annoying but also can lag someone out completely causing them to disconnect from the server.
  • Speak and act intelligently. Whether in zone, trade, guild or officer chat, speak intelligently and coherently. Avoid misspelling words intentionally (i.e. "haz" instead of "has"), name calling, and all otherwise rude and offensive language. If you have to be corrected, you probably have joined the wrong guild.

As gold is a precious metal, be a precious knight.

Guild Storage

Until the guild hall grows large enough to allow purchase of member accessible guild storage, we have a bot to handle guild storage temporarily. The bot is a conveniently named knight, Golden-Legion-Bot, who can only be accessed by the guild master. Guild members may contribute anything they like to the bot:

  • Materials
  • Recipes
  • Gear and Equipment
  • Sprite Food
  • Crowns
  • Energy
  • Costumes and Accessories
  • Keys and Lockboxes
  • Furniture
  • Any other trade-able item a knight would like to offer to the guild.

No record will be kept of items given to the guild storage bot, and those items will become property of the guild for use by members in the guild. All items except materials, crowns, and furniture may be purchased for crowns at fair market value (recipes at Basil prices). Materials are available for crafting and missions only (not for sprite feeding/crafting food), and may be purchased by offering a trade (either in crowns or by trading another material, regardless of its value/star level). Furniture will be placed in the guild hall and crowns will be used at the discretion of the guild master for the purpose of the guild.

To request an item from the guild storage bot, either message RoslynStormCaller (if she's online) or send mail to the bot, Golden-Legion-Bot, stating what you would like to get from the storage. You will receive a confirmation mail stating if the item(s) you requested are available as well as information regarding trade. Once you send in what is needed for the trade, you will receive your item(s).

Material availability:

  • Recruit and Apprentice: 0 and 1 star materials
  • Squire: 0-2 star materials
  • Soldier and Knight: 0-3 star materials
  • Knight Elite: 0-4 star materials
  • Defender rank through Vanguard: all materials
  • Special materials (those from shadow lairs, coliseum, etc) are for purchase only and are available only to knights who have the materials, gear, and key (if shadow lair) in which to actually craft the item.
