A boss monster is an unusual creature unlike the monsters encountered in the Clockworks. They can only be found in the final depth of a Tier and are much stronger than a normal monster, often requiring very specific tactics to defeat it; however, most bosses belong to monster families and therefore can be made significantly easier by bringing the appropriate weaponry for the boss.
