What is Touhou? Click here!
The Touhou Project (東方Project) is a series of 2D (with 3D background) vertically-scrolling danmaku shooting games made by Team Shanghai Alice, with three fighting game spinoffs co-produced with Tasogare Frontier. They are similar to regular shooting games, but focus more on weaving through complex patterns containing anywhere from dozens to hundreds of bullets. Every game in the Touhou series is set in the fantasy land of Gensokyo, and the series is known for its huge cast of characters, well-developed storylines, and related materials such as music CDs, fan-made comics and animated videos made to the music. (Description by Touhou Wiki)
Touhou's reaches are far and vast, finding homes in every game and community. Knowing this, you can always take comfort in knowing you are never alone. Whatever type of follower you are to our beloved series, we here at Scarlet Gensokyo welcome you. Spiral Knights has become our latest adventure and we'd love to have you along for the ride. You needn't have 1cc'ed TH06 on Lunatic, memorized all of the one-hundred plus characters, or be able to recite all the score Zun ever wrote, but here, we'll be glad you tried. :)
For invitation inquiries, please contact any of the following though in-game mail or chat: Shameimaru, Katmint, Chiruno, Remiliascarlet, or Sick.

Simple russian student. From Touhou series I prefer fightings, though even more I like playing OSU!'s beatmaps, based on Zun's tracks remixes.
Currently enjoying: MuvLuv, Alice Madness Returns, Ar Tonelico 2, Anki.
Concerning battlestyle, my favorite are berserk sword attacks. I dislike guns and bombs, but use them when it's necessary. Honestly, I suck at JK, I failed it ~10 times and, well, ready to fail some more ==/.

This young college student is working on a path to becoming an IT Technician. He's modest when he speaks yet prideful when he strides. He places loyalty as a high standard, so if you earned his trust, he wont backstab you so easily. He has played alot of teamwork based games so he knows a thing or two about working together. He's played strategy games, role-playing games, fighting games, card games and first-person shooters so he's experiences a palette of game genres.
A war broke out between two good friends, a war to find the most epic videos on youtube. After a while, that friend brought up videos of Touhou. That war never really ended, but after a while Delta became curious about Touhou, and that's how it all began. He found out about the wide variety of character and the many incidents that occured in Gensokyo. He also learned he's a terrible grazer, but a good dodger. He prefers fan-based work because people can get really creative and there are a multitude of works that fascinates him. That wont stop him from playing official games.
His introduction to Spiral Knights was pretty simple. Hailing from Team Fortress 2, he heard that Saxton Hale was giving Spiral Sallets to any mercenary to travel from the Team Fortress 2 universe to the Spiral Knights dimension. Accepting this challenge, Delta travelled to obtain the hat. However, he learned that Spiral Knights is a great game, featuring swords and guns, which are both his favorite kinds of weapons. After finally getting to the first terminal he realized that such a great game should not be passed by. His fighting style revolves around "Absolute Power". You'll see him rush the front lines blades in hand. Since he's not an accurate shot he doesn't rely too much on guns, and his past experiences with explosives deter him from using bombs. He's the first one into the battle, first to die, and last to give up. Growing up on being a support character, he plays team doctor and revives his fallen comrades as soon as he can. He is much more careful when he's low on health, and is willing to use his body as a shield if necessary. If you need an extra hand, gun, shield, or a pick-me-up after a tough arena, you can rely on DeltaWings."Lets beat up the bad guys until the problem is solved!!"-Marisa
I'm a university students, studying Psychology since 2009th. Cheerful, optimistic, outgoing.. Often lead those who fear. People see me as optimist.. but actually I'm a PlusRealist. My birth day is October 9th. Year 1989.
I'm quite a gamer, if I can say so myself. I'm more into FPS games though.. especially team-based ones. Battlefield series is one of my favorites =3 (MEEEDIIIICC). Also on good terms with visual novels and fighing games.. Strategy games, cool. RPG's.. not all of them. Racing games - not my choise. Casual games.. lots of fun xD
Touhou knowledge? Never played the origial, but i know a lot and play many doujin games of it.. Touhou music 4 life xD Also i have tons of fanart. As for favorite characters of Touhou mines are the following... Sakuya, Meiling, Marisa, Alice, Reimu, Yuuka, Reisen, Ushuho, Patchouli, Suwako, Komachi, Tenshi, Suika... well i guess its enough)
My Spiral Knight play style. I'm a ok gunner. I'm a good swordsman.
What what I'm all about is survival. If the odds of the Internets are not against me, you would find me helping the injured to get back on their feet to carry on with the fighting, while tearing things on my way to reach the bodies. or simply fail trying xDThe first time I ever played a Touhou game was in 2002. EoSD was my first introduction to bullet hell, and I was always amazed and confused as to why and how so many bullets could be on screen at once. I was hooked at day one. I played all the games, listened to all the music, explored fanworks and enjoyed the many, many remixes. It was all great, to be sure. But, primarily, it was through Touhou that I found out about the Shoot 'em up genre, and for that reason it's always had a special place in my heart. These days I've moved on to Cave's works, but I'll forever and always be a Touhou fan.
I'm a bomber, through and through. But when I'm feeling less confident or off my game (or my ISP's acting up), I pick up a sword and have at it. I like bombs a lot. Even though they've been nerfed to hell since the preview beta, I like making the most of what's given, which is still pretty good. You'll often see me charging directly into enemy lines. This is normal. Taking huge risks is a small part of how I fight.
Here's my userpage. One of the (comparatively) older guild members at 23, Sacre's a microbiology major at UC San Diego and a bit screwed up. Still, she means well and tends to use her resources to help others, and tries to be nice. She is more of Touhou fandom than of the games due to sucking at bullet hells, but hey, cool music and they are pretty. Also likes corgis and puns, and has cosplayed as a (short) Yukari before.
Combat-wise, I'm a bit reckless and usually end up being the first one dead. To make up for it, I tend to revive people first and am willing to use my own energy to cover everyone else's tush. I also have a headset if desired. More importantly, while I like arena runs, I do not appreciate it when people invite me out of the blue to a run when I haven't verbalized any interest at the moment. An 18 year old Graduate living in a luxury hotel room in Ocean City, Maryland, Aya has played every Touhou game in the series, but plays other leet games as well(I'm a gamer for crying out loud.). My favorite stuff of Touhou is the music, so you can Figure I'm a music freak.
As for Battle-style, I specialize in Guns. I am a Wild Gunslinger who likes to shoot rapidly from afar. But don't think I'm hopeless when it comes to getting close and personal. i've got plenty of swords with me. only downside is i have never gotten a decent bomb, so I'm not used to them yet. all my energy goes into crafting, so very rarely do i use it for revives unless I'm alone or we all died(lol). You don't discover Touhou, it discovers you.
An arrangement of ZUN's music mysteriously ends up in his ipod. Like an infection it grew, one song leading into another, eventually establishing itself entire playlists' consuming over 10 gigabytes of hard drive space. Everything he's grown accustomed to expecting in video-game-music had been loli-fied.
Geeked since birth, he's been a console gamer for over 18 years and made the switch to PC gaming 2 years ago. Trolling the cyber-webs in and out of school, he is currently studying Computer Networking at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Never leaving his other passion behind, he pursues Music on a Minor scale. When his housemates aren't around to complain, he bangs his drum set like Donkey Kong on crack.
An average shmup player at best, he has managed to 0cc some of the series games on Normal. Usually fond of games of the fighting calibur, his SF4 TE fightstick has traded Hadoukens for Master Sparks. Spiral Knights is his primary MMO. And is among the select few who were granted Groundbreaker Armor, having played the game since its testing stages.
In between gaming session, he often likes to unzip--...
"Hey! Who the hell are you!? Who told you to write stuff about me?"
*Sick unleases danmaku. Drops dead* (Continue? No.)
"Now, back to tea-time with Remilia-sama.."As a mysterious and mostly calm person of whom not much personal information is known, he has joined the guild by invitation of his friend. The first Touhou game ever played was the EoSD demo which got him interested in it. Trying to continue with Touhou bullet hell games, he just always failed or was too lazy to play them and ended up giving up on them but started with the fighting game Scarlet Weather Rhapsody, moving onto the game Hisoutensoku as his most beloved game. As he mained the rarely played Komachi because of her beauty, unlikely style and love for scythes, he was the best known european Komachi player. Realizing that his limit has been reached, he decided to stop playing and left the world of Touhou games. Still though, does he listen to the hundreds of thousands of Touhou songs and has even though he never played all of them, quite the knowledge of Touhou and it's characters. His favorite Touhou characters in following order are Nue, Youmu, Parsee, Komachi and Kaguya because of her NEETness. He likes to draw and has his gallery at www.sodeki.deviantart.com but his best skills unleash when he handles a computer. He's always up for trying out new MMORPGs, especially fantasy ones. In most MMOs he would play a thief or assassin class as he likes swift strikes and hit and run attacks.
Trying to achieve his goal in Spiral Knights without ever buying CE, he slowly progresses deeper and deeper into the secrets of Spiral Knights. Starting out with only using swords, he slowly learns to handle bombs as they are effective for crowd control. He will often leave trollish remarks to situations but never means them seriously. He isn't a Lunatic SK player yet but tries his hardest in battle.
Not being able to handle guns or bombs efficiently yet, he should be chosen when it comes to widespace close combat. His weaknesses are Constructs and gun puppies. He is also hopeless when he is surrounded by enemies while under shock status. But his absolute weakness are ROCKETS. Rockets are his absolute enemies in every game existing, forever being haunted by them.At 21 years old, you'd think this recent addition to the guild would have more important things to do with his time than kick ass and take names at an online MMO, but that's just what he's here for. A jokester at heart, he's just about finished with his Film/Video/Media Studies degree at WMU, along with THREE minors in Japanese, Journalism, and Psychology. As if that wasn't enough, he also does professional voiceover as a hobby turned career. Wowzers!
Of course, such a hothead has a fiery battle temper to match. You can find him favoring a good number of the high-end swords, but lately he also has been quite privvy to status bombs as well thanks to a few lucky CTR UVs. You'll generally find him tossing out the boombooms when there's large crowds of enemies or wide open spaces (or even narrow ones), but switching to that trusty sword when it comes time to pick off the remaining few. He also LOVES Death Arenas, so don't expect to sneak by them if he's in the party and one appears. Perhaps his affinity for bombs came from the introduction of Blast Network?...
Oh, yeah, he rocks at that too. Ask anyone else in the mansion; just don't end up on the receiving end if you go against him.Utsuho-Reiuji is a active gamer, and plays at least one video/online game a day. He's intrested in Japan and it's culture, and is a big Touhou fan. He's not the best, but atleast he can play on Normal Mode. Despite being highly competitive, he likes playing MMO's, like Spiral Knights.
He favors using strong swords and rapid-fire handguns. After getting a Leviathan Blade, a Triglav, a Valiance, and a Plague Needle, he plans to use bombs more often, the one's with huge explosions. Why? Because since he's a Utsuho fan, he has to bomb the heck out of enimies. While crafting items in a Alchemy Machine, he'll eventually get UV's on his cherished items. He enjoys fighting bosses, and enjoys fighting in arenas. When he spots an injured member of the party, he'll try to get a chance to revive them.A regular Californian person that has played most of the games in the series. I do look/watch/listen to certain fan-made content, but if you suggest one to me, please keep it slightly appropiate.
As for me In-Game, I typically use swords, and use guns as a last resort. I use bombs not so often though, and I also try to conserve energy/resources as best as possible. To find me, that's easy, I'm the one that spins around alot. (Like Hina of course.)
My arsenal can be viewed on my page: Vermilionshadow.

東方神霊廟 ~ Ten Desires (romanized: Touhou Shinreibyou, lit. Eastern Divine Spirit Mausoleum) is the thirteenth official game of the Touhou series. A trial version of the game was released on the web in April, and at Reitaisai 8 in May of 2011. The full game was released at Comiket 80 on August 13, 2011.
The major additions to the basic danmaku gameplay in Ten Desires include the Divine Spirits and the Trance gauge.
Divine Spirits are released when enemies are killed, bosses are damaged, and at certain scripted events. There are 4 varieties of spirits: blue, gray, purple, and green. Blue spirits increase the value of point items collected at the top of the screen, and most importantly, fill up the trance gauge a little bit. Gray spirits behave like the yellow-outlined point items in Mountain of Faith, granting the maximum possible amount of points no matter where on the screen they are collected. Gray spirits also fill the trance gauge more than blue spirits do.
Similar to Undefined Fantastic Object, lives and bombs are gained piece by piece. Purple spirits add 1 life piece and green spirits add 1 bomb piece. Initially, the player requires 8 life pieces to gain an extra life, but this value increases by 2 for every life gained this way (8, then 10, then 12, and so on). 8 bomb pieces grants the player an additional bomb, and this amount never changes. Certain enemies drop purple and green spirits, and bosses drop 1 purple spirit and 1 green spirit after every spellcard (with the exception of their final spellcard).
The Trance gauge consists of 0 to 3 flames that are built up by collecting blue and gray Divine Spirits. The player begins the game with 1 flame filled, and can collect up to a max stock of 3. The player can enter Trance either by getting hit with at least 1 flame filled, or by manually activating the state when all 3 flames are filled by pressing the C button. If the player enters Trance by getting hit, they will lose a life after the Trance timer runs out. While in Trance, the player's shot is much stronger, the player is invulnerable, and divine spirits are worth more. After exiting Trance, the Trance meter will be empty.
