Battle Sprites

Battle sprites are pets which were released on July 30th, 2013. There are currently 3 Battle Sprites that exist in the game. The first 3 battle sprites which was released first is Drakon, Seraphynx and Maskeraith. Also known as the starter sprites. You can get it starting from rank 2.

Picking your starter battle sprite

Lots of players really need help when it comes to picking a sprite. It's hard to make a decision when it comes to picking a sprite. If you have a hard time picking one, you've come to the right place!

Here's the starter sprites.

Drakon - Drakon is a dragon sprite. It can inflect fire and has a flame barrier which lasts for 7 seconds every time it's in use.

Advantages

Fire is a strong effect. It's great for those who like to inflect strong effects and do missions like Heart of Ice, Royal Jelly Palace, etc... It's also great to protect yourself and do elemental damage.

Disadvantages

Since Drakon can inflect fire, it would be kind of be useless when it comes to Firestorm Citadel and Compound 42. Using firebolt against Firestorm Citadel would still inflect damage, but will not inflect fire (Will confirm if this is effective in Firestorm Citadel). In Compound 42, you could inflect fire, but there are chances where the poisonous lichens could heal and cause a huge amount of fire in the area.

Seraphynx - Seraphynx is a battle sprite which can protect and aid your party members. This would be perfect for those who would like to do the support and help their group.

Advantages

This is great for those who support their group. Great for levels such as Firestorm Citadel, Heart of Ice, etc. It deals extra damage to the Undead and Fiends. If you always need some health, you could use the Heart Attack ability. Chances are, you can get some hearts.

Disadvantages

Seraphynx is a great sprite. However. it only does extra damage to two families. It's not very popular when the bonuses do extra damage to some monster families. Heart attack is sometimes useful, but sometimes it doesn't turn out to be useful.

Maskeraith - Maskeraith is a ghost sprite and it'll be perfect for those who would like to do sneak attacks. This is perfect for those who'd do missions such as the Royal Jelly Palace, Deconstruction Zones, etc...

Advantages

In some situations, you would need to poison your enemies so that they can't be healed by a healing source (Menders, silkwings, etc.). It's perfect to do sneak attacks, inflect poison and would like to make their situations easier when there's a mender, silkwing, etc...

Battle Sprite Abilities

Since battle sprites can help you in combat, they have special abilities. You can upgrade those abilities when you receive skill poins. Here are the abilities that each sprite has.

Drakon

Firebolt

This ability launches a fireball which explodes within 9 blocks. This ability is unlocked when you have Drakon as your starter sprite.

Flame Barrier

In this ability, you can protect yourself with a barrier of flames. It enables defense, although it'll only last for 7 seconds.

Firestorm

With firestorm, you can burn everything in your path and summon some dragon breath!

Seraphynx

Ray of Light

Ray of light is a beam of light. It can deal some damage for those who pass through the beam. This ability is obtained if you chose Seraphynx as your starter battle sprite.

Heart Attack

With heart attack, you can enchant a group of targets. Once the targets are enchanted and are destroyed, there is a chance that they can drop hearts.

Angelic Aura

This ability creates a protective aura which protects you and your other party members within.

Maskeraith

Caustic Quills

Caustic quills fires a series of quills to a target. For every quill the target receives, they get poisoned and take some extra damage. If you pick Maskeraith as your pet, you will have this ability unlocked.

Shadow Cloak

Shadow Cloak lets you be invisible for a short duration. You can be undetectable until you either make a move with your weapon or your cloak expires.

Current Battle Sprites and Evolve Forms

Battle sprites can evolve when you reach a certain level. Your sprite changes and it gets more powerful as you level up. In order to make progress in evolving it, you must feed it with the preferred item. You can craft sprite food at the Lab, located in the Haven Garrison. As your sprite evolves, it'll prefer for a higher star mat.
