Guild Ranks/Promotions

Member Rank: To become a member, you will have to be in our guild for 1 week and apply for the Guild Website. Once you have done so, let an Officer or GM know and they will check and promote you. Simple rules for becoming a member of TAO. No begging, respect all members, and greet every member that logs on. Even if you do not know them, don't be afraid to say "Hello (his/her name here)." It only takes 3 seconds to do so : )

Veteran Rank: To become a Veteran, you will have to be a Member first. To receive a rank as a Veteran you will have to be in our guild for 3 weeks and have at least 5 comments on our Guild Website. After that, if we see that you are helping other members out and are greeting others we will promote you as needed. The same rule applies. No begging, respect all members, and greet every member that logs on. Even if you do not know them. If you believe that you qualify for Veteran, let an Officer or GM know.

Officer Rank: To become an Officer, you will have to be a Veteran first. We've had an issue with Officer rankings before where they would abuse their power and kick/demote/promote other members as they'd like without permission from the GMs and without giving a warning (to those who have been kicked/demoted/promoted). That will no longer be tolerable and if an Officer chooses to do so, they will immediately be demoted. As an Officer we look for someone who is trustworthy, active, friendly, and willing to help other members (whenever help is needed). We are looking for someone who knows how to have fun but be mature when it comes to certain situations. Officers will have to attend every Guild Meeting (if they are online at the time). As an Officer you will have to know all of the Guild Rules. Most importantly, respect all of our members.

GM Rank: To become a GM, you will have to be an Officer first. There will only be a total of four GMs. Two of which are me and Janet. And the remaining two will be chosen later on. When me and Janet find that it is time we need a 3rd or 4th GM, we will make a poll on our very website and have a vote from all of our TAO members. The winning officer will then be allowed to be a GM. (More information on it later when the time comes.) [N/A]

Last but not least, you MAY NOT beg an Officer or GM for a higher rank. It will be given to you if we think that you earned it. Begging will only make us question if you really do deserve to become a higher rank. So please be patient. You MAY be allowed to ask us if we can promote you. But don't ask us every day or every couple days (that counts as begging). Ask us ONLY if you believe you qualify and deserve a higher rank. If we tell you that we can not promote you, do not take it personally and please respect our decision. Your time will come.

Also, if you have not already done so. Send in an application for our Guild Website : ) It should say "Apply To Guild" somewhere on the top right of this page. Once you send in an application, I will approve it and write a comment on your application saying it is approved. You will then have to log onto your E-mail (the one you made the application with) and check your e-mail inbox for a link from Shivtr. Click the link and the rest of the directions should be in there. Let me or Jane know if you are confused. We will help.
