Veteran - Veteran players, who have earned 5* gear, can hold their own in Tier 3, and have been on at least one Vanaduke run with Officers or Guild Masters to demonstrate their teamwork skills, may be promoted to Veteran at the discretion of the Guild Masters. Veterans are also expected to help lead the guild by example.

Officer - Strong Veteran players, who are active in the game, help others, help the GMs, and demonstrated their willingness to work for the good of the guild. These players who demonstrate actual leadership may be promoted to Officer at the discretion of the Guild Masters. Officers help the Guild Masters manage the guild and its members.

How to get removed from the guild

• You can be removed from the guild due to inactivity unless you have contacted a guild master beforehand. Getting removed is not the same as being kicked. If you get removed for inactivity, you can reapply for membership when you return.
• You can be removed from the guild for behaving in ways that are contrary to the guild rules. You will be warned, then put on probation.
• If probation does not help the situation improve, then the GMs may ask you to leave.
• Kicking is a last resort, but if you are disruptive, or refuse to leave when asked, then you can be kicked by the GMs.

Three Rings first rule is our second rule. This is a game, and we all want to practice positive thinking and have a good time.

Mainly, you need to understand the game, how to get around, and how to learn all the things you need to know. Players with more experience in the game will help you learn what you need to know to achieve success in this game, but first, you should learn the basics by reading the Spiral Knights WIKI.

• Watch and Listen to other players.
• Learn from your errors.
• Believe you will get better, and you will get better.
• Just keep playing. Get in there and swing, shoot, or blast at the monsters until you learn from doing.

Misconduct and inappropriate behavior will impact negatively on the guild as a whole. Therefore, you should stress proper conduct among all members of your guild and be prepare to kick misbehaving members. If you don't have the will to kick members, you should have a conduct/conflict officer who is prepare to make the hard decisions.

Cursing There is no place for cursing in any uber guild. Sure we all slip a curse when we get killed or are frustrated but when it becomes excessive or frequent, the member should be warned or kicked. Improper etiquette only brings a negative and hostile atmosphere to the guild environment and should be avoided. Cursing should never be seen on any community or global chat. Furthermore, many of your older members may have children near by or watching. My recommendations are to keep it PG 13 in a group setting and anything goes in private.

Foul Play Members who actively perform activity for the sole purpose to ruining another's gaming fun should be warned or kicked. Such activities such as monster pulling (aka shield bumping monsters into the other guy), camping a spawning area in PvP, and cheating have no role in an uber MMORPG guild setting. This type of foul play only brings a negative impact to the hard work you put forth to your guild. So, while it is tempting to "teach them a lesson" responding to foul play with more foul play is not acceptable in this guild.

Stalking/Sexual Harassment/Misconduct of Sexual Nature Members who engage in any harassment behavior of a sexual nature should be kicked out immediately. Your MMORPG guild has no room for any predators, perverts or stalkers of any nature. Not only does it negatively impact on your guild public image and reputation, it also will cause an increase number of member departures from your guild if this type of behavior is tolerated. My recommendations are to be firm with this anyone misbehaving in this particular aspect and to deal with the matter privately and swiftly before it becomes a big issue.

Asking for money One of the biggest newbie moves is to ask a stranger for money or loot. Only a newbie will do this. Imagine in real life, you are walking in the streets of the city and asking random people for change. That is the equivalent of this newbish move in the MMORPG world. Not only is this inconsiderate, it is also rude. Although this is a fantasy world, things need to be earned and various items have weight in the game economics. No one should expect something for nothing. Those who expect a handout will quickly find themselves alone and left behind.

In a team and guild environment, asking for money/loot may be appropriate if you know the people and ask nicely.

Taking treasure or loot from another player However a common newbie mistake is to swoop in and grab stuff when you see someone got a particularly large crystal, a health pill, some useful vial, or whatever. Don't do it.

The game Spiral Knights will automatically shares out crowns, crystal, heat, and mats. So, the practice of "stealing mats" is not really stealing, but more a matter of etiquette. Since this guild values respect, we expect you to let someone pick up the crystal they just took the time to break, or the pills that fell out of the monster they just slew. Swooping across the room to obvious grab stuff in another players path is bad form.

In the heat of the game, we all end up picking up items regardless of who opened the box, slew the monster, or whatever. Some of that is a natural part of the game and should be allowed. Good players will share those items back out with their party members.

Asking to be leveled The second biggest newbie move in most MMORPG is to ask others to level you. This annoying request will lose you more friends in a heartbeat. It suggests that you don’t have the time or the dedication to develop your character and that you’re looking to gain something for nothing. Most newbs will ask strangers to “power level” them where they just tag along and leech off the experience coming in. Some power leveling can be done with the player away from keyboard. Most people consider a request for leveling rude. Even in a team or guild environment, power leveling is shunned by most uber guilds. Just like in the real world, there is no easy ticket and those who are looking to cheat their way to the top are not respected.

If a stronger player joins your mission to help you, let them help you, but do not expect them to do the mission for you. You must fight your own monsters so you can learn to get better at the game.

Note: The other related mistake is made by Veteran players who do too much when joining a lower level mission. They show up and make things too easy for the juniors. Let the junior players make their mistakes, and focus on helping them learn what they need to know so they may one day join you at your level. Support them, and share what you know, more than do things for them. One easy trick is to follow them through the level, so you are in a support position, as backup instead of the primary slayer.

Let us be clear. We hope you are reading this for the first and last time. We hope that behaving like a good quality player comes naturally to you so you have no problems getting along in our guild. However, for those times when someone walks the line and creates conflict that must be managed, there are disciplinary actions you can expect us to take.

• Warning - On the first notable complaint due to offending one or more other players, or when an officer or Gm notices you behaving contrary to the guild rules, then you will be offered a warning. You get one warning, and a period to correct the behavior. We recommend you start with an apology to the people you offended.
• Probation - If a warning is not enough, and you continue behavior contrary to the guild rules, then you may be assign to a Conflict Officer, who will try to help you understand how it goes here in this guild. This is our way of helping you help yourself.
• Ask you to leave - The polite equivalent of kicking, but asking gives you the option to leave the guild on good terms. If you leave on good terms, it will be easier to accept you back if things change.
• Kicked from guild - Reserved for highly offensive mistakes, or when people will not leave when we ask them to. Only the Guild Masters can kick someone from the guild. We do not kick lightly. If you are kicked, it it unlikely you will be accepted back in the guild later.
