The Punkin King, lurking deep within his hallowed lair.

The Punkin King is a monster resembling an animated gourd that was added as part of the Dark Harvest Festival. He spawns in special lairs that have a chance to appear within Clockwork Tunnel-style levels in a similar fashion to Danger Rooms. Punkin King lairs and Danger Rooms are not mutually exclusive, meaning both can potentially appear in the same level.

Punkin King lairs resemble Graveyards, and their appearance sharply contrasts the mechanical appearance of the Clockwork Tunnels they reside in. They consist of a pathway leading up to a large room with gravestones, several fire jars, and a party button in front of which the Punkin King waits. The King can be struck with weapons, but cannot be harmed until the button is activated. Once all players in the party stand on the button, the Punkin King will cackle and reveal to the players what he has in store for them by randomly saying either "TRICK" or "TREAT."

Strategy

When he shouts "TREAT" He drops 10 random candy tokens and disappears.

When he shouts "TRICK," undead minions called "Gourdlings" spawn from about 10 respawning pads around the room. These are near identical in behavior to Zombies, but have substantially reduced health and damage, making them more of an obstacle than an actual competent enemy. However, they respawn almost instantly after killed.

During the Trick, the Punkin King himself will bounce around the room at random, attempting to avoid knights to some extent. He will drop one random candy token for the first five hits that are landed on him, regardless of damage. After that, a certain number of hits must be inflicted before he will drop any more, at which point he will disappear and drop 5 tokens in the center.

Tokens

His only drops are three tokens, which can be spent at Maskwell for masks. If you do not have enough, you can buy the same tokens from Bulky.
