Accounts on Shared Computer

I tried creating a second free account on my computer to experiment. When I created the second account, it had the same mist energy as the first; however, I spent some mist energy on the new account (while simultaneously logged in on the old one) and it didn't decrease the mist energy of my first account. I thought maybe it would update when I entered a new area or spent some energy on my first account, but it didn't.

I conducted some further experiments, and I'm getting some incredibly bizarre results. I spent my main account down to ~25 mist energy, then created a guest account (same energy), spent 10 running to Haven (down to 15), then used the mist tank received as a reward so that the guest account had 100 energy. Logged out, logged in my main account, still at 25 energy--apparently not linked? A new guest account shows 25 energy again. Maybe guest accounts are linked, but only one way? (Why would they do that?) Then I log into my second (permanent) account, which has 95 energy! I create a third guest account, which now has 90 energy, not matching ANY of the other amounts I'd seen. My main account still has 25.

That was yesterday. Today, after playing on my main account for a while and spending all my mist energy, I logged into my second account to see what it reported. I don't know what I was expecting, but it was definitely not what I saw, which was that my second account reports having 35 mist.

So my second account somehow lost energy, which implies it's not completely independent of my first account, but it's also not reporting even close to the same amount of mist energy (or even the same difference as yesterday). And the game won't let me create any more guest accounts to test with :P

Can anyone shed any light on this? --Antistone 03:34, 5 September 2011 (UTC)
