Talk:Knights Of Christ (Guild)
From SpiralKnights
You can DO that?
You can make a guild, and discriminate based on religion like that? Wow, that is kind of sad, actually.
'To join this guild, you have to be Christian. Forget Jews, Muslims, Agnostics, Mormons, Scientologists, Buddhists or anything else. We honour Christ while gaming. Well has it occurred to you, that this game is saturated with magic...
“When you come into the land which the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire [an ancient occult practice], or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For all who do these things are an abomination [detestable] to the LORD…”

- [THINSLAYER]: That is a separate issue.
I find it terrible, that you would discriminate so wholly against people with other religions. And saying "Oh, they just have to CLAIM to be Christian. Oh, so to join you have to forsake your religion or be Christian." Would it be socially acceptable to not let black people join? Or Sikh people? Asian people? Of course not, however religion is the one refuge the guild makes for people like you.
Galatians 3:28: "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave[a] nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wombatlad (talk • contribs) . Please sign your posts with ~~~~
- [THINSLAYER]: ...for you are all one IN CHRIST JESUS. It doesn't say that there are no Jews or Greeks ANYWHERE. You used a verse that actually speaks AGAINST the point you're making.
- [THINSLAYER]: 2 Corinthians 6:14-18: Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
- In the above verse, God is expressly commanding us TO be discriminatory. Repent of your error, Malkalack.
- There is nothing wrong with the way Thinslayer has constructed the guild nor the page. It does not breach the Code of Conduct in any way (plus Code of Conduct only prohibits religious insults) as the statement "Claim to be a Christian, and join the guild!" is structured as a request as opposed to a discriminative comment. There is little reason a person from a different religion would even consider joining, let alone be upset at not being able to join (that is if they weren't allowed to: Nowhere is it said that the guild will reject a non-Christian who is interested in joining) a guild that is entirely Christian and talks about Christian topics when there are plenty of other guilds existing that cater to their specifics. Thinslayer is indirectly implying that he wishes to host a guild with like-minded Christians, it's never stated that he wishes to create an elitist group that turns all others aside.
- At any rate, it is not up to anybody else to decide whether he is being discriminating or not, because you are unaware if he hosts other guilds or engages in social interaction with people of a non-Christian alignment. Now please, discuss topics civilly. The Bible is useless if you're purely using it to judge and incriminate others for things they aren't remotely doing.
- “Do not complain, brethren, against one another, so that you yourselves may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing right at the door,” James 5:9
