A Boss is an unusual monster that appears in a special location in the Clockworks. There are four main bosses, which appear at the end of each tier. More powerful versions of the four main bosses appear in the Shadow Lairs. There are also various mini-bosses scattered throughout the missions.
A Boss is an unusual creature unlike the monsters encountered in the Clockworks. Bosses are much stronger than normal monsters and often require specific tactics to defeat them. Most bosses share the same weaknesses and resistances as their monster family, and can be made significantly easier with the right equipment.
+

There are four main bosses which appear at the end of a Tier in both the Arcade and Missions. These bosses drop Tokens which can be exchanged for rewards with Brinks. More powerful versions of the four main bosses await at the end of Shadow Lairs and drop more tokens than usual.
+
Bosses are much stronger than other monsters, and defeating them often requires clever tactics, such as disabling the boss' defense before attacking. Most bosses share the same weaknesses and resistances as their monster families.

In addition, there are several Mission exclusive minibosses which do not drop tokens. While not as strong as the main bosses, they still pose a significant threat and should not be taken lightly.
+
The four main bosses drop tokens, which can be exchanged for rewards at Brinks.  The Shadow bosses drop more tokens than the regular bosses. The mini-bosses do not drop tokens, although some of them offer other rewards.

There are currently 15 bosses in total, which are described in detail below, however, there's always a possibility that more new bosses may be on the way.

|description= The mini boss of Ghosts in the machine. It is a large, centuries old Battlepod-like enemy that is fixed to the chamber's floor. When it's active, it will go through three stages if enough damage is dealt per stage. Tendril-like "wires" constantly erupt out of the ground, target the player, and stab downward, burrowing back into the ground. These wires have health, but they appear and disappear so quickly that fighting with the intent of damaging them is moot. Shock spheres orbit The Big Iron for most of the fight. The Big Iron fires a number of laser beams in random directions. The Big Iron can only be damaged when it's mouth is open. It's mouth will open after it fires lasers a few times. The number of times differs per stage:
Evil Gremlin Schemer Razwog was thought to be the one who sent a batallion of Retrodes at the Rescue Camp and is the first Gremlin the player must fight. Even though it is not certain that he is technically a Scorcher, he looks and behaves very similarly to them.
+

 +
*First stage: Electronics glow yellow. summons a monster spawner in the upper left, which can spawn one Surgebot, Volt Knight or Voltrode at a time. Up to 2 wires may appear.
 +
**The Big Iron fires 2 lasers at once, 4 times, before its mouth opens.
 +

 +
*Second stage: Electronics glow orange. Adds another monster spawner with the same behavior as the first to the upper right area of the fight. Up to 4 wires may appear.
 +
**The Big Iron fires 4-6 lasers at once, ??? times, before its mouth opens.
 +

 +
*Third stage: Electronics glow red.
 +
**The Big Iron fires 6-8 lasers at once, ??? times, before its mouth opens.
 +

 +
After dealing enough damage to the Big Iron in the last stage, it shuts down and gets destroyed, but for good this time.

A Boss is an unusual monster that appears in a special location in the Clockworks. There are four main bosses, which appear at the end of each tier. More powerful versions of the four main bosses appear in the Shadow Lairs. There are also various mini-bosses scattered throughout the missions.

Bosses are much stronger than other monsters, and defeating them often requires clever tactics, such as disabling the boss' defense before attacking. Most bosses share the same weaknesses and resistances as their monster families.

The four main bosses drop tokens, which can be exchanged for rewards at Brinks. The Shadow bosses drop more tokens than the regular bosses. The mini-bosses do not drop tokens, although some of them offer other rewards.

Descripción

The mini boss of Ghosts in the machine.

  • First stage: Electronics glow yellow. summons a monster spawner in the upper left, which can spawn one Surgebot, Volt Knight or Voltrode at a time. Up to 2 wires may appear.
    • The Big Iron fires 2 lasers at once, 4 times, before its mouth opens.
  • Second stage: Electronics glow orange. Adds another monster spawner with the same behavior as the first to the upper right area of the fight. Up to 4 wires may appear.
    • The Big Iron fires 4-6 lasers at once, ??? times, before its mouth opens.
  • Third stage: Electronics glow red.
    • The Big Iron fires 6-8 lasers at once, ??? times, before its mouth opens.

After dealing enough damage to the Big Iron in the last stage, it shuts down and gets destroyed, but for good this time.

Descripción

The mini boss of Heart of Ice. A mysterious Frozen Trojan intending to freeze Cradle with Everfrost's power resource. The boss consists of three phases, during every phase Tundralisks will spawn. He uses a mace like Lord Vanaduke that will create a trail of breakable ice, causing the Freeze status to anyone who gets in the path of it. His attack buff also knocks back knights and creates blocks of ice. He is supported by a lot of cold monsters.

Maulos consists of 3 phases:

  • In the first phase he spawns two invincible Perma-Frostifur. When he's dealt enough damage, Maulos will surround himself with a block of ice, will not move and will be very easy to hit.
  • In the second phase he spawns around four Frostifurs and when hit enough will again surround himself with ice. Frozen Souls come to help Maulos in this part of the battle.
  • In the third phase he spawns two to four Layoafers. He is finally defeated and shattered to pieces when he takes enough damage.

Descripción

Arkus, a fallen ex-knight of the Spiral Order. Despite the fact that he seems to have transformed into a Trojan, he retains the attack style of a spiral knight. A few aspects differ him from a regular T3 Trojan:

  • Long weapon reach - this Trojan's attacks seem to be able to reach twice as far as any other regular Trojan's.
  • No immunity to frontal damage - you can hit him from any side, but the frontal damage is substantially reduced.
  • Wider array of possible attacks - a normal Trojan has only three attacks available. This one has five.
  • No abrupt dashing - Arkus is not capable of dashing, unlike other Trojans. He is also incapable of buffing his attack power.
  • When he is defeated, he "revives" like a regular Spiral Knight; however he can only do this twice, resulting in the fight taking place in 3 phases. Each time he revives, the crystal on his black glows more fiercely, two more Shadow Orbs encircle him and fiend family monsters appear to aid him (some Beryl Greavers and a Silkwing).
