icarus is a name from greek mythology, he was the son of daedalus (an inventor)they

were both slaves to king minos of crete until daedalus invented metal wings with wax seels. they somehow worked and they escaped but icarus's wings fell apart when he flew to close to the sun and his wax seels melted so he fell into the sea and died ... another happy ending

"kid icarus uprising" is a new game on the 3ds featuring pit the hero who has wings and if you fly with them to long they burn off(lol). this game features a character called dark pit thus the inspiration for my knights name "dark icarus"
