Usage
To limit the number of nesting page sections visible in the Table of Contents.
Ideal for reducing clutter, but use sparingly as it can hinder easy navigation and linking.
Code
{{TOClimit|}}
Parameters
- 1 (no "=" required for input)
- Can be a number greater than or equal to 2 (since on this wiki we do not use single "=" ToC)
Examples
{{TOClimit|2}}
- Produces
Notes
Ideal for reducing clutter, but use sparingly as it can hinder easy navigation and linking.
Higher numbers can be used, but if the article has more than 4 nesting sections, the article is likely in need of better formatting instead of this template.
This template will also determine the location of the ToC on the page.
What the Numbers Do
What defines a nesting section:
"=?=" in the page code automatically divides pages into sections, like so:
=ToC Subsection Title 1= (not used on this wiki)
==ToC Subsection Title 2==
===ToC Subsection Title 3===
====ToC Subsection Title 4=====
=====ToC Subsection Title 5=====
Where the number of "=" is equal to the number used in this ToC visibility limiting template.
