:Maybe it's better to add one more column for alt picture? From your angle i can't rate wings, but can see all colors. I think, that good view is more important. If you are not agree, modify template for secondary view and i will add more images.--[[User:Rrrrex|Rrrrex]] 17:32, 26 June 2016 (UTC) | :Maybe it's better to add one more column for alt picture? + | That's what the inspect window view in the gallery is for. This view can be changed easily to suit what the majority of editors feel is the most useful angle (and the overly curious can view the file history of previous uploads for yet more angles). This method is not ideal for a bulk list. So, we use both: judge the shape with the gallery, then use the colors displayed in the sortable table in a sort of mental projection. There's no need for another column (and we wouldn't do that anyway, as it would increase work load horribly, as well as page load time). --[[User:Novaster|Novaster]] 17:42, 26 June 2016 (UTC) | ||

Images
Thanks for coming in to help with the wiki. It's a lot of work and very appreciated. A few things you could do could make it even better:
- In the upload comment for each file you restore, add an appropriate comment to help editors in the future. Two are here. Not everyone will know what happened with the images for all time, but perhaps reading that, they will.
- For animations such as this one, you must follow the quality guidelines outlined in the style guide (pop open that overworld showhide for the details).

Thanks
You've done an amazing amount of work. Thanks so much for helping the wiki. --Novaster 03:51, 17 June 2016 (UTC)
Future
Since you're doing a lot of this upload work, you should know that I am working on recovering all the files I've ever uploaded to the wiki and will be sharing them online (probably google drive). I don't have time to upload them all myself. They're mostly accessory and costume tooltip images. --Novaster 00:59, 19 June 2016 (UTC)
- Here's some accessories. --Novaster 01:53, 19 June 2016 (UTC)
- Wowee. Here's several costumes. --Novaster 05:08, 20 June 2016 (UTC)
Also, I super appreciate the upload comments with "Novaster's files." Makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. --Novaster 05:10, 20 June 2016 (UTC)
Wings
We went with a different angle of wings (especially dragon) in order to show the color of the undersides. The old back view does not display this information. Please revert the images. --Novaster 16:33, 26 June 2016 (UTC)
- Maybe it's better to add one more column for alt picture? From your angle i can't rate wings, but can see all colors. I think, that good view is more important. If you are not agree, modify template for secondary view and i will add more images.--Rrrrex 17:32, 26 June 2016 (UTC)
That's what the inspect window view in the gallery is for. --Novaster 17:42, 26 June 2016 (UTC)
- I could make "rate" angle for a main image and "color" for others. But wings have different models so it needs both angles. Also i meant that new template should be used when it necessary, like overworld image for auras. Let's keep current images until i finish with all accessories. --Rrrrex 18:20, 26 June 2016 (UTC)
- You really need to revert to the underside angle. I'd prioritize that. I'd do it immediately, but I am busy now, and have a long work shift ahead of me. --Novaster 18:24, 26 June 2016 (UTC)
- A little more explanation. Over the past couple years I've devoted a lot of time to helping this wiki, and a lot of that time was spent talking with players and other editors about what's best to do. What you're doing now is making changes based on "what you think" (opinion) that go against this consensus, and that is harmful for the wiki. Stick with what's been agreed upon. If you really are adamant about an idea, take it to the forums. You'll see a huge number of discussion threads started by me there to get an idea of this process. --Novaster 18:36, 26 June 2016 (UTC)
