Gremlin Mortafires carry large, Gun Puppy-shaped rocket launchers to unleash rockets on unsuspecting Knights. Mortafire rockets do not fly in a  direct, straight path, and instead are fired upward, landing on the explosion radius that appears once they are in shooting position. They walk a bit slower than other [[Gremlin]]s, and will only stop to aim at you when you're their target. It is impossible to attack them head on, due to the shield they also carry, so they must be attacked from behind by either sneaking behind them when they're readying an attack, or by [[freeze|freezing]] them in place. Mortafires have a chance of dropping their Rocket Launchers and shield, and when they do they are completely defenseless and cannot retaliate. The Rocket Launcher and shield can be picked up and/or thrown a short distance away to prevent the Mortafire regaining its shield and attacking abilities.

Gremlin Mortafires are a type of monster found in the Clockworks.

Traits

Gremlin Mortafires carry large, Gun Puppy-shaped rocket launchers to unleash rockets on unsuspecting Knights. Mortafire rockets do not fly in a straight path, instead they are fired upward and land on the explosion radius that appears on the ground.

They walk a bit slower than other Gremlins, but tend to move erratically and will only stop to aim at you when you're their target. It is impossible to attack them head on due to the shield they carry, so they must be attacked from behind or by freezing them in place. When attacked or inflicted with a status, Mortafires may drop their mortar & shield, and when they do they are completely defenseless, though they will seek out any nearby dropped mortars & shields. Any dropped mortars & shields can be picked up and/or thrown a short distance away to prevent the Mortafire regaining its shield and attacking abilities.

Note: This monster has status variants, but only the fire and poison variants exist at this time. The others are currently not present in the game, nor are their offical names known.

Types

Gremlin Mortafire

Strategy

Mortafires will always try to face you to stop you from making front-on attacks. Get them to attack you, then run around to their back where they are defenseless.
