The Volatile Catalyzer is a 4-star handgun.

Description

Removing the safety overrides from a piece of Gremlin technology is a good way to lose a limb. In this case, it probably won't be one of yours. Charged Catalyzer bullets envelop the enemy in an energy field that explodes on contact with regular shots.

Attacks

Basic Attack

Fires 1 slow moving projectile, allowing up to 3 shots before reload. Bullet from this gun can set off explosive charges applied by Charge Attack. (see below)

Charge Attack

Fires a slow moving non-damaging projectile that will orbit the enemy after hitting them. If an enemy has explosive charges orbiting when struck by a basic attack from this weapon, all charge rounds surrounding target will detonate damaging target and enemies nearby. Charge attacks on enemies will linger for an extended period of time, allowing multiple to be applied before being detonated. Charge Time is much faster than most weapons. Any catalyzer weapon can detonate any explosive charges, it is not restricted to only your own charge rounds.

The following damage values represent the weapon at its completed level, without any UV or bonus from other equipment, and listed as a range found from the first to last floor of each stratum.
