Template:Note-WikiMapIcons
From SpiralKnights
The following are unnoficial Wiki Images made by users to facilitate understanding in "strategic map" images:
General:
- Design: usually a knight starts out standing on an elevator grate that's settled into the floor.
= An arsenal station or similar area where knights can change their gear.
= party button. Let's group up and go!
= there's something important here.
- This indicates something like a statue, water orb, hidden button(s) in the area, or ghost block etc.
= there's a barrier here that can't be passed through in the other direction.
= this gate is opened with energy.
= a recon module or Commemorative Artifact is here.
- Interact with it to read it and/or obtain it.
Helper Entities:
= talk to someone, something, or a group here.
- This icon is actually an official icon used in-game, but we have it serve multiple functions for guide images:
- When used in a strategic map image, it can mean a group of NPCs who each have something to say, OR just one NPC.
- This can be an NPC knight that needs rescuing, a turret that's already powered, and so on.
= this spawner generates infinite health.
- Sometimes slow, sometimes fast, depends on the spawner and floor.
= something here uses energy to be activated.
- This could be a mecha knight or a mecha turret.
Dangerous:
= there's a particularly nasty clockworks hazard here.
- This could be a large wall or floor trap that requires more thought than lesser traps.
- If this button is activated, a fight will begin.
= This area is isolated behind a gate and is very dangerous.
- A Danger Room is a good example.
= this spawner generates infinite enemies.
- Best to ignore these enemies, make them run away by damaging them significantly, or somehow trap them.
- Players should be prepared to be trapped here with one or more monsters, and a fight is the only way out.
- Sometimes there's not a party button for fights.
= A large nasty monster spawns or waits here. It's almost a miniboss, but not quite. Ready your weapons!
- Sometimes these monsters are defeated only under special circumstances.
- Example: some Battlepods will self-destruct only when all enemy waves are defeated.
= a boss waits to be fought here.
Loot:
= there's a bunch of Minerals in the area.
= there's a bunch of Treasure Boxes in the area.
