Introduction for Battle Sprites
Battle sprites are pets which were released on July 30th, 2013. There are currently 3 Battle Sprites that exist in the game. The first 3 battle sprites which was released first is Drakon, Seraphynx and Maskeraith. Also known as the "Starter Sprites", you'll have to pick one sprite which will always be on your side.
You can obtain one by doing rank missions 2 - 2.
NOTE: You can only pick ONE starter sprite which will be permanently bound to you. You will not be able to change or unbound your sprite after picking one. So choose wisely!
Picking your starter battle sprite
Lots of players really need help when it comes to picking a sprite. It's hard to make a decision when it comes to picking a sprite. If you have a hard time picking one, you've come to the right place!
Here are the starter sprites.
Drakon
- Fact: This sprite is perfect for players who choose to play on offense.
- Perfect for: Close-up combat
- Can inflict: Fire
Advantages
Fire is a strong effect. It's great for those who like to inflict strong effects and do missions such as Ghosts in the Machine, Royal Jelly Palace, etc. It's also great to help protect yourself and do elemental damage. Also, Drakon is the best for anyone that likes to go on shadow levels because the fire can inflict elemental damage, so Drakon is similar to a spare Fireburst Brandish or other weapon that sets monsters on fire.
Disadvantages
The first skill, Firebolt, is very weak and does NOT deal a lot of damage.
Seraphynx
- Fact: Seraphynx's ray of light can do extra damage to the undead and fiend families.
- Perfect for: Aiding, supporting your party and for those who die often.
- Can inflict: Normal
Advantages
This is great for those who support their group. Great for levels such as Firestorm Citadel, Heart of Ice, etc. It deals extra damage to the Undead and Fiends. If you always need some health, you could use the Heart Attack ability, which your group will love you for. You have a good chance of getting some hearts. You should pick Seraphynx if you are in a group where the people die a lot .

Seraphynx is a great sprite. However. it only does extra damage to two families. It's not very popular when the bonuses do extra damage to some monster families. Heart attack is sometimes useful, but sometimes it doesn't turn out to be useful.
Maskeraith
- Fact: Maskeraith's shadow cloak is great for sneak attacks.
- Perfect for: Sneak attacking and poisoning.
- Can inflict: Normal, Poison
Advantages
In some situations, you would need to poison your enemies so that they can't be healed by a healing source (Menders, Silkwings, etc.). It's perfect for performing sneak attacks, inflicting poison and would make your party's situation easier when there's a mender, silkwing, etc. Also, Maskeraith is best when you are at the Royal Jelly Palace, since the jellies are weak to shadow.
Disadvantages
Unlike Drakon, Maskeraith does poison, but doesn't do direct damage. Also, in Shadow Cloak, performing any action such as dashing, attacking and charging will make the cloak disappear, as well as getting hit.
Battle Sprite Skills
Since battle sprites can help you in combat, they have special abilities. You can upgrade those abilities when you receive skill points as your sprite levels up. Here are the abilities that each sprite has.
Drakon
- Firebolt
This ability launches a fireball which explodes within 9 blocks. This ability is unlocked when you have Drakon as your starter sprite at level 1.
- Flame Barrier
