Line 1: Line 1:
Fire is a quite popular status for players. It burns your opponent and the damage can get critical, especially since a shield can't protect you from all of the damage. Fire is one of the more bigger, and confusing, statuses to master.

==Fire Equipment and Shielding==
+

+
First things first, you should get started with the Emberbreaker Helm, Armor, and shield all at 1 star, however they increase freeze and shock, so avoid them if you can. It's a good idea to ditch the suit once you have your 2 star armor though.
+

+
At 2 star gear you can choose the Magic Cloak and Magic Hood, giving you resistance against Shock, Fire, and good defenses against and Elemental damage, but give you a little weakness against Stun, so avoid getting slammed with large objects, will you? The other option is the Wolver Coat and Cap, which doesn't have fire resistance until 5 star, but the Wolver Coat and Cap give a sword damage bonus, freeze resistance, and piercing damage resistance.
+

+
As a shield that you should take is the Owlite Shield (a pretty  popular shield) which gives you a good resistance against Elemental damage, and against Fire and Shock statuses.
+

+
Once you've got to reach 3-4 stars gears,there is a lot of armors, helmets and shields to choose from that can help you:
+

+
-The Drake Scale shield, mail and helm gives resistance against Elemental and Piercing damages and bonuses damages against Beasts, and then you can upgrade it to Wyvern Scale Mail, Shield and Helm, then to Dragon Scale Mail, Helm and Shield.
+

+
-You can keep and upgrade your Magic Cloak and Hood and upgrade them to Elemental Cloak and Hood, then to Miracle Cloak and Hood, and then you have two choices. The Divine Veil and Mantle give huge resistance against Shadow and Elemental damages, as well as Resistance against Fire, Curse, and Shock. The Grey Feather Mantle and Cowl give good resistance to Normal and Elemental damages, a resistance to Fire and Shock, but a weakness against Stun. For the Owlite Shield, (which is a part of this set) just upgrade it to the Horned Owlite Shield, then the Wise owlite shield and Finally the Grey Owlite Shield.
+

+
-If you chose Wolver Set, you can keep that and upgrade it to Dusker Coat and Cap, then to Ash Tail Coat and Cap, then to Vog Cub Coat and Cap. Vog Cub Set has good normal and elemental resistance, and this one has a resistance to fire. It also increases attack speed by quite a lot.
+

+
-The Chroma Mask and suit give less resistance to fire, but give a resistance to Poison and Percing damages. You can upgrade them to Salamander Mask and Suit, and then either to Volcanic Salamander Mask and Suit, giving a good Elemental and Normal resistance and huge resistance to Fire, or the Arcane Salamander Suit and Mask, (whose recipe can only be used at the Sky Sanctuary located at the end of a Shadow Lair) which compared to the Volcanic Salamander Mask and Suit, gives a higher Elemental resistance, a lower slime damage bonus, and a beast damage bonus, so unless you plan on slaying slimes all your life, this would be the better choice.
+

+
Once you got the Tier 3 Clearance,you can fight a boss named "Lord Vanaduke", who give you around 3, (1-4) tokens named "Almirian Seals" once you beat him. Collect 30 of them (around 10 times beating the boss) you can buy The "Blackened Crest", a special shield that you can upgrade to the "Blackened Crest", which you can upgrade to a "Chrest of Amire", a shield that gives the same resistance that the Owlite Shield but with Shadow damages resistance instead of Elementary damages resistance.
+

+
Now Volcanic Plate Shield is another shield that resists fire, but only at 5 star. It starts at Plate Shield, then Boosted Plate Shield, then Heavy Plate Shield, and finally Volcanic Plate Shield, which has fire and stun resistance, high defense with Normal Damage, and also gives you a major health increase.
+

+
==Fire Swords==
+

+
To start burning up stuffs with a blade, you should start with the 1 star weapon named the "Hot Edge" that can inflict fire. Advised to ditch the sword after 2 star weapon is obtained.
+

+
When you reach the 2 star gears I advise to get the Flourish or the Brandish, which are 2 star swords that cannot inflict fire, but their 3 star upgrade can.
+

+
Upgrade your Brandish to Fireburst Brandish, then to Blazebrand, and finally to Combuster, and for the Flourish, upgrade it to Flamberge, then to Fierce Flamberge, and finally to Furious Flamberge.
+

+
Also, if you get 40 "Almirian Seals" tokens you can buy the "Fang of Vog", a sword that deals huge Normal and Elemental damages. It can also burn the enemies, but remember that it can also burn the user, so watch out for it.

==Fire Handguns==
+

+
There is two Handguns that can cause fire:
+

+
-First one is the Firotech Alchemer, a 2 star gun. Upgrade it to Firotech Alchemer Mk II, then Firo Driver, and finally to Magma Driver.
+

+
-The other one is the Autogun, the only automatic guns in the game. Thought it don't set fire, it's Pepperbox variant, the 3 star upgrade, can. Just upgrade it to Pepperbox, then to Fiery Pepperbox and finally to Volcanic Pepperbox. Remember you can not move while shooting these!

==Fire Bombs==
+

+
First you should start with the Firecracker bomb (unlocking an achievement by the way), a 1 star bomb that can help get you started.
+

+
The only 2 star fire bomb is the Fiery Vaporizer. Upgrade it to the Fiery Vaporizer Mk II, then to Fiery Atomizer, and finally to the Ash of Agni.
