The Snarbolax. It is immune to all damage in this state.

Monstrous Profile

Said to be a massive beast draped in living shadows, this dark predator enjoys toying with its prey before delivering the final blow. It is advised that only Knights who have mastered Tier 1 take on this formidable beast as those who have entered unprepared have never returned!

Strategy

File:Monster-Snaborlax stunned.png
The Snarbolax when it is stunned.

The Snarbolax will burrow underground at the start of the battle, emerging at one of four corners of the room. After emerging, it will perform various ranged attacks that deal normal and piercing damage. In this state, the Snarbolax is immune to all attacks and status effects, so it is best not to try damaging it.

After the Snarbolax emerges from the burrow state, you have a brief window of time to push it towards the center of the room where a Beast Bell is located (hitting this bell while beast types are near will stun them). When the Snarbolax is stunned, it will turn yellow and collapse (throwing Stun vials will not work, as the Snarbolax is immune to these attacks as well). It is at this stage that you may attack it. It will shortly regain consciousness (turning black), give itself a buff and resume its normal routine. Repeat this process until the Snarbolax is dead.

The Snarbolax is weak to Piercing and resistant to Elemental attacks, like all beast types. It is unknown whether status effects affect the Snarbolax, whether it is asleep or awake.

Tactics

Have party members stand in opposing corners of the room, ready to push the Snarbolax to the middle when it appears (shield bashing is the easiest method). One person should be waiting at the Beast Bell, and, once the Snarbolax is near, should hit the bell to stun it. Then, everyone should attack it simultaneously until it regains consciousness (try pushing it into a wall so knockbacks don't cause your allies to miss their attacks).

Drops

Notes

  • The Snarbolax's health varies by the number of players in the party. Under some circumstances, it can be easier solo than in a group.
