Spiral Knights history

WIP section. Joined on Steam release day, spent almost 1000 hours playing now.

Guilds

I joined a guild known as Templarknights ages back, after having gone guildless for very long. I was already an Ash Tail when I joined my virgin glorified friends list. Back then, Templarknights only had two active members, Templarknight and I. I soon left after having been recruited to Aeonic Doom by Scottish-Archer, a nice fella who parted with Aeonic Doom later on. It only took me a day or so to go from Recruit to Member. The next step was considerably longer, I think it was more than three months. Aeonic Doom values quality over quantity, however, so I'm happy with us having few but veteranish veterans.

Somewhere along the road, all active members of Aeonic Doom migrated to Shadow AD. This was due to innactive GMs, and us needing a fresh start. I believe this event took place before I was promoted to Veteran.

Months passed, people left, people went innactive, people joined, people returned and the guild changed. Shadow AD is not the guild I once joined, but many of our dear core members are still actively playing. I was eventually promoted to Officer by Myrtle. It turned out she thought I already was. So here I am, the silliest, ascocialest, Kat-lovingest Officer of Shadow Aeonic Doom, here to stay, perhaps for another six months or more.

Sometime after buying my first CE pack to prepare for my encounter with the dreaded Rabid Snarboli, I made an alternative character since that'd get me another 100 Mist Energy every 22 hours. I would hardly say I use them well these days, one of the reasons being that I for the moment have an Elevator Pass on Krakob. Anyway, this alt, who is named Jawkob, is primarily a gunner. He joined Shard Squad shortly after the guild's creation and is now ranked as a Veteran.

Lockdown career

WIP section. I cannot remember the first time I set foot in Lockdown, but it was probably in Tier 3. I didn't start playing much until then, anyway. I was an Ash Tail wielding a Blackhawk and a Vile Striker. I naturally sucked and due to the computer I had back then, just trying to play as a Striker was pretty hopeless. I usually played as Recon and did sneaky captures. Time went on and my gear improved, though my computer didn't, so I could now play Guardian, but not Striker. I got more skilled, got my Skolver set, got my sweet sweet Barbarous Thorn Blade, Isaac (because I unbound him from a certain someone), and finally, I got a new computer. These days, I can play Striker and I perform roughly equally as that and Guardian. I find playing Striker to be fun, especially with Warmaster Rocket hammer but I feel as if I'm a better Guardian. Besides, Guardians are awesome contributions to teams, not to mention the best support a bomber can have. Ah, the days in Random Lockdown when I'd go as Guardian with Zeddy and he'd bring Voltaic Tempest and we'd take the enemies' "home" point. And keep it. A long time.

When Zeddy bought his Battle Pack, we spent a whole day in Lockdown and it was grand fun. I bought one too and I have yet to use my boosters but they will probably be used some Saturday morning when my Elevator Pass has expired.

Aeonic Doom used to play more Guild Lockdown in the past but we still play some. My level there is a lot lower than in Random Lockdown and that's totally understandable.

My real name is (prepare to have your minds blown) Jakob S. I am a Swedish nub, Spiral Knight since the Steam release day. I've been gaming since I was just a few years old, starting with the Nintendo 64, playing Mario Kart 64, Super Mario 64, Super Smash Bros., and more. Our family eventually moved on to the Nintendo GameCube. I also grew up with a SNES emulator, used for games such as Sunset Riders and Final Fantasy IV. Yes, I do realise those are totally unrelated. I also had (and still have) a GameBoy Advance SP. Good stuff!

I've been using the internet for ages but I was never really active in any communities until I joined the IRC channel #gmc, that is dedicated to the GameMaker Community. I started using Game Maker many years ago and joined #gmc around the 4th GameMaker Community Jam. I have released very few games since because I greatly lack motivation more than really often.

Playing and developing games aside, I also listen to music and uh... I don't do much more than that. I do go to school, thank the gods. Most of the genres I listen to are subgenres of metal, including Death-, Goth-, and Symphonic Metal. I also listen to game music and some chiptunes. Here's the full list of bands/composers I listen to:
