Aeonic DoomNew UpdateAeonic Doom

Currently , Aeonic Doom moved to another guild : Shadow AD.It was the branch guild for internal GLD , but we moved to it because there was inactive GMs and Founders of AD . Most of original AD members are in Shadow AD currently , and that doesn't mean that AD is dead . It is for alts , playing GvG and other things . And we made this guild to give it a new fresh start and for new members to feel that they belong to something.

Aeonic DoomGuild SummaryAeonic Doom

Hello! Welcome to Shadow AD, the fact that you've clicked this means you're looking for a guild! (if you're just here browsing, hello! there's a lot of text here! :3) I'm Aurais, one of the GMs of this guild, and I'll introduce you to the guild!

We're a friendly guild who prioritize friendly and active players, rather then just merely T3, LD, or any other theme. Our motto is that any player can become great if they're willing to learn and active!

Legacy Guild summary
We are a friendly, helpful and fun guild who value politeness and activity over which tier a member has (or has not) achieved access to. Our membership is international in its participation – we have members from countries including, Serbia, North America, The United Kingdom, South Africa, Australia, Finland and Romania. Whatever time-zone you are in – it is likely fellow Aeonic Doom guildmates will be online.

Aeonic DoomRecruitmentAeonic Doom

I'm sure you're wondering about how we recruit, and if not, still read this! We recruit uniquely, in that we DO NOT recruit in haven. There are only two ways to be invited to the guild, either be recommended by a friend, or apply in this forum page. All new recruits will join as the recruit level and take "the test" in which...um...we test you...on stuff...i'm told it's rly easy, so chill.

If you're wondering why, it's because we expect a high quality from our recruits. We believe that active and friendly members are much better then random people we find on the streets.

Legacy Recruitment
Unlike some other guilds, our recruitment process has always focused on quality over quantity. We do not recruit players who are previously unknown to us (i.e. we do not spam invites). The only way a player can become a member of Aeonic Doom is for one of our members to have met you in-game and to have spent some time running the clockworks with you and getting to know you a little. Afterward, that member may pass on your name to an officer or GM and request a guild invite be sent. Such requests will usually be honoured, unless the potential recipient is previously known to us as behaving in a manner that would contravene our guild rules. To receive an invite from Aeonic Doom should therefore be considered a privilege in itself.

For this reason our number is increasing at a slow but steady rate. However, due to the selectivity of the invite process, we have a very low rate of member departure and our members tend to be skilled, mature, knowledgeable, friendly and willing to converse over guild chat. As well as discussing SK, our members have been known to talk together on topics including philosophy, music, games, books, the Internet, cars and film (as well as sharing the odd joke).

Aeonic DoomActivitiesAeonic Doom

Activities- We do everything! we do FSC, we hold Shadow Lairs, and we do Lockdown in all formats! Holiday events, everything! An event for you, and you, and you, and everyone!

Legacy Activities
Many of our members are active participants in the SK forums. We routinely venture to FSC, JK and IMF and we have also been known on occasion to take newer players in our guild down to meet the dreaded Snarby. We encourage our members to help one another develop as players – Examples of such efforts historically have included, explaining how to make best use of the AH, giving away unwanted weapons, crafting recipes, giving mats (or selling at discount), lending or giving away CE or crowns, exchanging game strategies and tips and getting together on guild runs. Some of our members also enjoy PvP, although we do not expect members to participate -- we respect the fact that different players enjoy different aspects of the game.

Aeonic DoomGuild RulesAeonic Doom

Rules and Procedures ok, here's the meat of the guild, the rules DUH DUH DUH

1.Do not partake in any activity in-game that might bring our guild name into disrepute. Such activities include scamming, spamming, trolling, bullying, harassing or otherwise irritating other players (note sending numerous unsolicited trade-requests also counts in this category).

2. No Begging! Of any form! Begging is asking for an object or service repeatedly.

3.Be polite in guild chat – and remember that some of our members are under 18 years of age (i.e some topics of conversation may be inappropriate - use common sense here). Also, under no circumstances must any guild member harrass/bully/troll other guild members. The decision of a GM must be followed, i.e. you might not feel you are harrassing someone, but if a GM asked you to desist you must do so without argument.

4.Although we encourage our members to help one-another in game, do not expect as a given that you will automatically be provided with items, ce, crowns or time from other guild members – It is entirely at each individual member's discretion whether or not to give these things. As a general rule-of-thumb, the more you put in to the guild, the more others begin to recognise your efforts and are willing to help you when needed.

5.Do not harass other guild members for invites while they are on runs – One request is enough, more than this can be off-putting. If you receive a reply from a player stating that they do not wish to invite you to their party, do not then proceed to then say, "please/pl0x/plz/pls" or any other derivative; ask "Why?"; start giving reasons for why you feel you should be invited, e.g. "I am really good at [Stratum theme/Boss name]" or, "I just need another 2K crowns to buy this new weapon". Just take the answer as "No" and respect your guildmate's wishes.

Legacy Rules (Many are the same but just updated for clarity)
*1.Do not partake in any activity in-game that might bring our guild name into disrepute. Such activities include scamming, spamming, trolling, bullying, harassing or otherwise irritating other players (note sending numerous unsolicited trade-requests also counts in this category).
  • 2.Be polite in guild chat – and remember that some of our members are under 18 years of age (i.e some topics of conversation may be inappropriate - use common sense here). Just take the answer as "No" and respect your guildmate's wishes.
  • 5.When on a run or PvP, do not repeatedly invite other guild members. One invite is enough. More than this is considered spamming. In a similar vein to rule 4, if a guild member does not join from your invite, you must accept the fact and move on without harassing them.
  • 6.If you expect to be away from the game for any extended period of time, you must contact a GM or officer to let them know (otherwise you may be removed from the guild for inactivity).
  • 7.Please notify guild member(s) if your asking them to join to revive a dead party that has been wiped out. We've been getting complaints lately and we ask that you follow this rule.

Aeonic DoomProceduresAeonic Doom

Procedures

Membership- Membership in our guild actually have meaning. I'll skip over recuits, as they are basicily people who we've invited, but haven't taken the test.

Members- this is what most people are. Members are most of the...members. Hi. You'll be here for a while :)

Veterans- players who have been in the guild for 6 months-a year. We do not promote you to veteran rank from the start regardless of gear and or anything else

Officers- players who have a specific leadership task are assigned the rank of officer. At any given time there will be 4-8 officers with assignments within the guild. Officers are expected to be very active, perform guild maintenance and other tasks, and attend meetings. Officers will be demoted once they are finished their assignments, are inactive, or do not wish to perform leadership duties. Yes, silly, you have to work for it :3

Officer tasks include

general task officer

event planner

guild hall renovation

and others as we need them!

Guild Master (GM) – that's us! We keep this contraption working! Hi! We're basically officers who have a fancy title and run things:D We will always have 4 GMs ( yes we have more, but they're not active) active , so wave to the people Gms

Aurais- that's me! Well no, that's a combination of symbols that represent me on this glowy rectangle, but close enough!

Savyina – Ohai! I am online quite often, so if you ever want to run missions, or have questions, I'm here for you! I also do art. Check it out here! http://greenknight5700.deviantart.com/

Xeirla – Hello! I'm the oldest standing GM, and yeah... I mean idk what Aurais wanted me to write here. I can help get things done essentially, but not too good at carrying through coordinated guild plans and events on my own too much. I've played the game for 3 years, since the Snarbolax was released, and I know this game very well. Also I like ponies, animals, and I draw things! My art is found here: http://xeirla.deviantart.com

Kanoka – (You as well)

Guild Hall- Be good. :3

Legacy Guild Ranks and Procedures
* Recruit: These are players who have been recently recruited into the guild on a probationary trial basis.
  • Member: These are players who have been recruits for some time and have shown themselves in the opinion of the GM's and Officer(s) to: (a) be an active player (b) regularly and frequently take part in guild chat, (c) follow guild rules and (d) have displayed willingness to participate in guild activities and to help in the development of the guild and/or its members.
  • Veteran: This position is reserved for very long standing members of the guild. Veterans will be experienced and highly knowledgeable about the game, reliable and suitable role-models for members and recruits.
  • Officer: Due to the fact that any member can recruit members to the guild, an officer of Aeonic Doom is considered to be an extremely active, knowledgeable, diligent and helpful guild member. They will (in addition to meeting the requirements of member and veteran positions) have made outstanding efforts to contribute both strategically and materially to the guild and development of guild members. GMs will elect officers as deemed appropriate and when positions become available (i.e. it does not follow that every member will eventually become an officer). Officers should be considered akin in standing to GMs in terms of seniority.
  • Guild Master: The guild masters (GM's) are the original founders of Aeonic Doom. However, some exceptions have been made, as a GM had to leave for a short period of time, and another GM was added as a replacement. (Mrgreedy was added by SF before leaving to join a guild specific to Lockdown, and Hitsublast was added a week later by Myrtle, something to do with Myrtle wanting 4 active GM's. However, since that time both Mrgreedy (AKA AngryNapkins) and Hitsublast have been made officers, and have been replaced by Grandmoffpuppeteer. Feel free to contact Myrtle, Grandmoffpuppeteer, or Pront-Zors in game. Preferred in that order)

Aeonic DoomOur Treasure VaultAeonic Doom

Note: Hello everyone! This is a new section of our wiki that I wanted to try to start out. Inthis space anyone and everyone is encouraged to put their piece in. As of right now, this will just be short and simple, A place to store fanfics, art, and videos of our Spiral Knights events and such. This couldalso expand to having a place to show your forum threads to the guild via links, along with maybe a comments page in addition to post any feedback to the guild. Have fun!

Aeonic DoomAnnouncements and Special EventsAeonic Doom

This is a section where Aeonic Doom and it's members post announcements of the future plans and special events that refer strictly to the guild or the guild members. This excludes competitions. Please refrain from randomly deleting announcements, announcements can be deleted when the event has completely died down and is no longer relevant. (Note for editing this section, Please make use of the Simple Example http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Collapsing and create two lines(Enter,Enter) after body text to separate the boxes - this is just too keep things tidy.) Remember to add dates! ;)

-Side Note- Mrgreedy has retired from the guild in search of a LD guild.

Aeonic Doom[3.] Two New GMs!Aeonic Doom
After some deliberation by the acting GMs (Myrtle and Grandmoffpuppeteer), Aeonic Doom now has two new GMs to join the current ones: Masterboss and Prophe, both for the United States region and EU respectively.

Congratulations to you both! ^_^

[2.] Aeonic Doom has a new name!
After a year of fun and amazement, Aeonic Doom is no longer under it's original name - due to inactive GM's, officers, members, and other "political" disputes, the guild is in an alternative form.

Now, Aeonic Doom is referred to as Shadow AD (Or, as Prophe calls it, S.A.D)!

For the longest time, Aeonic Doom has had it's own forums. If you'd like to look, here's the forum page: http://w11.zetaboards.com/Aeonic_Doom/index/

The following recipes can be crafted (please supply mats, ce, cr, unbound precursor weapons). Often 1*/2* items can be purchased in the Auction House more cheaply than it would cost to make them (including UV's). For this reason we strongly recommend you check there first. Not all items listed on this page can be crafted up to 5* - Always refer to alchemy paths first.
