The issue was a capital F in "from."

Many templates will not require you to individually link things, the brackets and spacers are built in. When in doubt, follow the format of other pages using the template, if documentation doesn't cover the issue. It's usually a typo that's making the fuss :)

I've only ever used it to force links + templates that have fussy spacing in relation to each other to work in certain contexts... probably twice in my entire time in this hobby. You might see it around older pages because of an editor's preference in old coding style, or some other reason. It's not a necessity. Many templates will not require you to individually link things, the brackets and spacers are built in. When in doubt, follow the format of other pages using the template, if documentation doesn't cover the issue. It's usually a typo that's making the fuss :)
