Crossing the Chasm is a 1-4 rank mission.
Overview
Description:
Having restored the power to the Rescue Camp and established contact with Spiral HQ, it's time you attempted to cross the chasm to the north of the Rescue camp and reach Haven where the rest of the Spiral Knights have taken refuge.
In order to cross the chasm you will need to take the elevator down into the Clockworks and find another to bring you back up on the other side. There's no telling what dangers lurk in the dark depths below so Rhendon will be accompanying you on your journey.
Objective:
Cross the chasm with Rhendon and reach Haven.
Notes
The art used in the Mission Interface card is reminiscent of an old Guild Hall design.
After the player completes this mission, the Rescue Camp is no longer easily accessible, completing the introductory phase of the game. The player can now socialize in areas of Haven.

Notes
Goal: Defeat Razwog and arrive at Haven.
This floor features a few constructs and several different kinds of fire hazards. Razwog is the miniboss of this mission, encountered at the beginning and then fought at end of the level. After he is defeated, players must press a button to activate a sprinkler system that extinguishes several of the fire hazards. Feron and three other knights of the Spiral Order will approach and greet the party. The elevator at the end of the level will take the player to Haven and finish the mission.
Tips
Shield Bash When your shield is full, press < Controls> to bash and stun monsters!

This dialogue involves Razwog and Rhendon. It occurs over a series of events in the 1-4 Mission: Crossing the Chasm.

After defeating Razwog, inspecting his body reveals: "There is a strange crimson symbol on Razwog's clothing."
After stepping on the Party Button:

Let's get the artifact back to Spiral HQ before someone else tries to nab it.

Astounding! I would have never expected a new recruit to crawl out of that fiery wreckage alive! You must really be something else...
The name's Feron, Lieutenant of the Spiral Order. We had believed this entire complex was derelict until the elevator leading to it suddenly surged to life. Upon investigating the whole place soon went up in a blaze!

I see. This will be bery interesting information for Spiral HQ. Our base camp in Haven is just up ahead. Head on up the elevator and meet the other knights who survived the crash like yourself. The techs in the Lab will be eager to study that artifact. They'll see to it once you get to Haven.
Don't worry about the others in the Rescue Camp. Thanks to you, we have a functioning elevator system to reach them. You've saved them all!

Notes
Recruit missions become locked as soon as the player loads this floor. The player is able to cross the chasm into Haven after the events that transpired in the recruit missions. This floor consists of a small area right outside the Haven Town Square that is only accessible via this mission. A Proto Bomb is acquired and Rhendon will explain how to use it. Several miscellaneous NPCs and a Spiral Warden with the title of Guardian Knight greet the player.
The "Welcome, Stranger" achievement can be earned by stepping near the border into the Town Square (the player does not have to enter the Town Square to trigger the achievement). The next dialogue missions can also be started without stepping into the Town Square. The 2-1 Mission: Welcome to Haven! will start automatically after the player loads into the Town Square.
Immediately after the floor is loaded:

Hey, PLAYERNAME! I see you've acquired a Proto Bomb! They're very useful for when you need to deal with groups of enemies.

Bombs are special in that they have no standard attack. A bomb can ONLY be used as a CHARGE ATTACK, so make sure to evade monsters while charging!
Feel free to give it a try. Just remember to equip it at that arsenal station up ahead.

I'll take the artifact to the lab. When you're ready you should head into Haven and meet up with the rest of the crew. I have a feeling we might be stuck on this planet for quite some time, so we might as well see what we can do to help.
