This item was introduced with this announcement during the 3rd Winterfest in December 2013.

The Silver Solstice Ring is the only trinket that is checked if its bound or not; if the Silver Solstice Ring is Bound and the Golden Solstice Ring is unbound, the resulting Grand Solstice Ring shall remain bound to the player.
