"It's Time To Gear Up And Celebrate" Just like Clockworks, it’s time again to celebrate the anniversary of Spiral Knights! The gears at Spiral HQ have been turning overtime and it’s time to pick up your clever and slice some cake. Help Biscotti, the Skylark's Head Chef, avoid disaster in two special missions - Total Caketastrophe and A Gremlin in Knead. Through April 13th, fight Creep Cakes and Batterbots to earn Cake Slice tokens, then visit Maskwell in Haven Town Square to exchange your tokens for party themed goodies:
Watchful knights will notice there’s also a special new costume shield, the Clockworks Clock Blocker, that dedicated knights can earn during the event by collecting an abundance of delicious cake tokens. With this shield, you'll never risk being late again. During this Anniversary Celebration, it’s time we also pay tribute to the mysterious mechanisms that bring us all together. The Clockworks Prize Boxes are packed with some of the gear that rivals anything to ever to roll off the Gremlin assembly line! 2026.15 5 May 2026 | Promotion | Forge | "Forging Ahead!" This release contains a lot of important changes. Details are below: Forge: We've made some changes to the forge system to make it more friendly to newer knights and lower the cost of leveling your gear. All forging attempts, regardless of the crystal option you pick, will be successful! We believe this will be a more enjoyable experience for most players. When an item is ready to be leveled and you use the forge, your item is guaranteed to level up. You can always opt to add more crystals if you want to have a chance at some fun bonuses. So, if all you want is to level up your item, you'll now want to use the lowest crystal cost option. This option is selected by default. To balance out the above change, the bonuses you can get for the different crystal cost levels have changed.
System Upgrade: We've released a second batch of very large back-end changes. Like the previous changes, this is part of our continuing effort to modernize the game. This represents quite a lot of work behind the scenes, but should help the game run better for players. Thank you all for your patience while we've been tinkering under the hood. More changes:

The biotech specialists at Spiral HQ have discovered various uses for the pollen and fast growing plants beyond uncontrollable sneezing. They’ve created some botanical gear to help knights blend into technicolor surroundings and leaf their foes in disarray. Help your camouflage skills blossom by picking up a FlowerTech Mk II Prize Box to discover gear and accessories in a new bouquet of colors - Tech Red, Tech Violet, Tech Yellow, and Tech Azure. This isn’t your garden variety gear, this organic gear includes such items like Tech Yellow FlowerTech Aura, Tech Azure Virulent Seedlings, Tech Violet Pollinators, Seedling Samples, and other botanical accessories. 2026.19 15 May 2026 | Gameplay - Event | Shroud of the Apocrea | "The Harvester's Obstacle" Spiral HQ needs your help! We have confirmed that the Apocrean Harvester has returned, but this time there's a new Obstacle. From now through May 25th, travel onto the Grasping Plateau full of trapped souls and phantom-like monsters. In a maze-like graveyard, knights will find the Apocrea trapping and collecting souls. This sinister being will pursue any who enter the Grasping Plateau hoping to add to the collection. Don't try this alone! Work together to free souls and find Apocrean Sigil tokens which can be traded at the Lost Soul item trader for materials and times. There you'll also find the newest obstacle for your arsenal, the Obsidian Obstacle. It's no simple task to acquire this, and only the most obsessed with freeing souls will be able to wield this obsidian. You don't want to get caught out there alone--definitely bring your friends with you on this mission, and try not to lose sight of them! |

"Defend the Tortodrones & Discover the Grey!" The call has gone out across Haven — Spiral HQ needs every knight to take up arms! The mighty Tortodrones are once again on their Long Migration, but sinister fiends lurk in the shadows, harvesting Tortodrone parts for dark and mysterious purposes. Venture deep into the Clockworks, gather fiendish glyphs, and put a stop to this terrible mischief before it's too late! Your bravery won't go unrewarded. Collect Ancient Shell materials from the Ancient Grove to get your hands on the brand-new Tortodrone Skull, or forge mighty 3*, 4* and 5* Tortodrone handguns and shields at the Mysterious Alchemy Machine. The Tortodrones are counting on you, and the clock is ticking — the migration continues only through June 22. Will you answer the call? The adventure doesn't end in the Ancient Grove. As spring gives way to summer and Haven blooms with color, a knight's true test lies below — where the world isn't black and white, but somewhere deep in the Grey. Spiral HQ has assembled something special for knights with a taste for the finer, darker things. "Confront the Kataclysm: Lite 'em Up!" ATTENTION KNIGHTS Black kats are once again storming the Moorcroft Manor Archives and consuming the precious tomes within! We need all knights of rank 4-1 and greater to gear up and retrieve Ancient Pages from these nefarious creatures. The event will run through July 13th. Accept the Kataclysmic Confrontation prestige mission and/or fight through kat levels in the Clockworks to find black kats. Take a page out of their spellbook and shield yourself from their dark magic. Visit Montague in Moorcroft Manor with your collection of Ancient Pages, to obtain the new Shrouded Crest! Visit the Mysterious Alchemy Machine in Haven, with your collection of Ancient Pages, to craft some Kat related gear. If you dare to perform a Dark Ritual and survive the encounter, you may find yourself in possession of a Black Kat Cowl or a Wicked Whisker which allow you to craft the following gear:
If you have participated in a previous Kataclysmic Confrontation and still have Ancient Page tokens, they are still valid! Ancient Page tokens do not expire. Say 'Holo' To Summer Whether you tread lightly or light up the night, this liteweight gear should help knights keep it cool this summer. Grab new armor, helms, hair accessories, Hologlyphs, and Lite Shields. Light infantry and scout knights can now also send out a beacon with the new Status Symbol auras. "Flyin’ Higher" Greetings Knights! Take flight on an adventure and reach new heights with the help of this highly visible gear. Spiral HQ has created a special set of high flyin’ items in new colors that can still be spotted from land. Soar into AeroTech Mk II Boxes to zero in on costumes, Propeller Eyes, Swing Wings, and other aeronautical accessories. In order to maintain altitude, it’s important to be able to keep your speed up and avoid unnecessary maneuvers. That’s why we’ve manufactured a Airbraker shield. Now it’s time that we give these shields the costume treatment they deserve so they can stand out in crowded skies. This shield helps deflect any incoming projectiles while in a chaotic dogfight. If that doesn’t work, dash away and hope the bright shine of your Chaff Pack distracts them. If all else fails, the Mayday Aura will let those around you know you’re in distress.
