"It's Time To Gear Up And Celebrate" Just like Clockworks, it’s time again to celebrate the anniversary of Spiral Knights! The gears at Spiral HQ have been turning overtime and it’s time to pick up your clever and slice some cake. Help Biscotti, the Skylark's Head Chef, avoid disaster in two special missions - Total Caketastrophe and A Gremlin in Knead. Through April 13th, fight Creep Cakes and Batterbots to earn Cake Slice tokens, then visit Maskwell in Haven Town Square to exchange your tokens for party themed goodies:
Watchful knights will notice there’s also a special new costume shield, the Clockworks Clock Blocker, that dedicated knights can earn during the event by collecting an abundance of delicious cake tokens. With this shield, you'll never risk being late again. During this Anniversary Celebration, it’s time we also pay tribute to the mysterious mechanisms that bring us all together. The Clockworks Prize Boxes are packed with some of the gear that rivals anything to ever to roll off the Gremlin assembly line! 2026.15 5 May 2026 | Promotion | Forge | "Forging Ahead!" This release contains a lot of important changes. Details are below: Forge: We've made some changes to the forge system to make it more friendly to newer knights and lower the cost of leveling your gear. All forging attempts, regardless of the crystal option you pick, will be successful! We believe this will be a more enjoyable experience for most players. When an item is ready to be leveled and you use the forge, your item is guaranteed to level up. You can always opt to add more crystals if you want to have a chance at some fun bonuses. So, if all you want is to level up your item, you'll now want to use the lowest crystal cost option. This option is selected by default. To balance out the above change, the bonuses you can get for the different crystal cost levels have changed.
System Upgrade: We've released a second batch of very large back-end changes. Like the previous changes, this is part of our continuing effort to modernize the game. This represents quite a lot of work behind the scenes, but should help the game run better for players. Thank you all for your patience while we've been tinkering under the hood. More changes:

The biotech specialists at Spiral HQ have discovered various uses for the pollen and fast growing plants beyond uncontrollable sneezing. They’ve created some botanical gear to help knights blend into technicolor surroundings and leaf their foes in disarray. Help your camouflage skills blossom by picking up a FlowerTech Mk II Prize Box to discover gear and accessories in a new bouquet of colors - Tech Red, Tech Violet, Tech Yellow, and Tech Azure. This isn’t your garden variety gear, this organic gear includes such items like Tech Yellow FlowerTech Aura, Tech Azure Virulent Seedlings, Tech Violet Pollinators, Seedling Samples, and other botanical accessories. 2026.19 15 May 2026 | Gameplay - Event | Shroud of the Apocrea | "The Harvester's Obstacle" Spiral HQ needs your help! We have confirmed that the Apocrean Harvester has returned, but this time there's a new Obstacle. From now through May 25th, travel onto the Grasping Plateau full of trapped souls and phantom-like monsters. In a maze-like graveyard, knights will find the Apocrea trapping and collecting souls. This sinister being will pursue any who enter the Grasping Plateau hoping to add to the collection. Don't try this alone! Work together to free souls and find Apocrean Sigil tokens which can be traded at the Lost Soul item trader for materials and times. There you'll also find the newest obstacle for your arsenal, the Obsidian Obstacle. It's no simple task to acquire this, and only the most obsessed with freeing souls will be able to wield this obsidian. You don't want to get caught out there alone--definitely bring your friends with you on this mission, and try not to lose sight of them! |
