Some appreciation
You're getting some appreciation here. Keep up the good work. Jdavis 17:57, 22 June 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks, and thanks for your data and suggestions. As you can see, we've mostly implemented them. Vroom 11:07, 24 June 2013 (UTC)
You're forgetting about the best cr per energy mission!

- I'm not sure that this insight is useful for this wiki page, but it certainly is entertaining. Thanks. (And I'm glad to see you back on the wiki...?) Vroom 05:11, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
Request to merge/use database
I'm casually working on a project to hash out CR farming efficiency the the noticeable difference of including time as a factor, as well as separating boss kill runs from non-boss kill runs. My guide is written in mind of new players who may not have the gear/experience/skill to run the more difficult levels.
Presently, if I use the visible chart data, it will not do me any good since it shows your averages. If I list your averages as a data point in what is then calculated to be my averages... well it just gets very hairy.
You can view my data here: Google Docs

Unfortunately, I cannot edit the wiki on my steam account so I'm using this in its place. Boltzabunch 19:04, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
- You can get not just the averages, but also the raw crown and spark data, from this wiki page. To see the data, click "Edit" (or "View Source"). For example, the entry for Legion of Almire contains the markup "<!--3449, 3566, 3647, 3232, 3251, 3433-->3430"; those are the raw crown data and the average. You can't reliably tell which spark datum goes with which crown datum, but presumably the two random variables are independent so it doesn't matter. So grab all of the data you want. But please give us credit.
- At one point I collected time and crown data for each level of a mission (particularly if it was a boss mission), but then I stopped, because it was too tedious and not objective enough. (Different parties will take very different amounts of time.) Those data are quite incomplete and still on paper (not in my computer). So I don't think they're worth sharing.
- By the way, when you edit a wiki talk page, sign your post by typing four tildes: ~~~~. The wiki software converts them into your name and the date, like this: Vroom 05:11, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
- (I hope this is the right formatting) I understand your decision to not include time, but I find it very important to throw in to mine. Do you still have that data available anywhere? Boltzabunch 19:07, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
- Yep, you're formatting very well. :) What timing data I have are on a sheet of paper at home, and I'm traveling on a different continent for the next few weeks. I'll try to get them to you when I return home. Vroom 03:34, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
- Ehhh don't worry about it then. I'll probably get bored of Spiral Knights again before you can check your data. That and Cube World is coming out very soon. I'll still probably play every once in a while and add more data as I do. I started calculating values for with and without sparks and with and without completing a boss run (i.e. results for if you exited rather than went down to the boss level). Trying to decide if 10 is enough for Jelly King or if I should keep doing it up until 50 or so. After that, I'll just work on progression again and track the singular runs. I really want to revisit some of the older missions... When you see the CR/min (with CR:E being good as well) on some of them it's actually quite impressive Boltzabunch 07:16, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
