- moved to better umbrella name (so "area" vs. "level" isn't as confusing)The Royal Jelly Palace is a set of three slime-themed levels in the Clockworks immediately above Emberlight, spanning depths 15 to 17. At depth 17, knights will have to face a giant jelly known as the Royal Jelly.
Description
The Royal Jelly Palace is an ancient castle overtaken by a legion of slime monsters. It is unclear what purpose the castle serves, though it is rumored to be the house of a Royal Jelly, said to be the nobility within the slime kingdoms. If true then the purpose of the castle is likely to serve the Royal Jelly, and nothing more.
Unlike regular Clockworks levels, the Palace is a permanent feature of one of the gates and has a fixed location within the second Tier. Its presence in a gate is indicated by a power distortion causing a slime theme to be predetermined at stratum 4 of a dormant gate.

Strategy
The best strategy here is to lure the jellies and silkwings away from the lumbers and defeat them first to save a great deal of time and health. Destroy the lumbers, then any gun puppies - they are the last targets as they are most vulnerable.
- Royal Jelly
A "blitz" approach is often recommended to finish off the Royal Jelly in the most efficient manner (ignoring other monsters, as they will all de-spawn up the Royal Jelly's defeat).
Notes
- Mission 5-2 The Sovereign Slime showcases this set of levels
- While in Arcade gates Garden of Goo is depth 15, Red Carpet Runaround is depth 16 and Battle Royale is depth 17, in the mission The Sovereign Slime the depths are one higher for each (starting at Depth 14). This is likely a bug.
