  • Voltedge's description mentions "1.21 gigawatts." This is a famous reference to the 1985 movie, Back to the Future, in which 1.21 gigawatts of power were required to allow the DeLorean to travel through time.
  • Divine Avenger's golden light is very reminiscent of Excalibur from Sonic and the Black Knight.
  • Lionheart Honor Blade's name comes from King Richard the Lionheart who was the medieval King of England in the late 12th century and had a historical connection with Robin Hood. Lionheart swords also exist in World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy.

Shields

  • Aegis is the name of the shield onto which Theseus placed the head of Medusa, the monster whose gaze turns people to stone in greek mythology. He then gave it to Athena, Greek goddess of wisdom and battle tactics.

  • The Heavy Demo Helm's description is a direct reference to the infamous line from Resident Evil, in which the protagonist is handed a lockpick and is told "Jill, here's a lockpick. It might be handy if you, the master of unlocking, take it with you."
