Source of Tooltips

So, you may have notice that im messing with images, deleting those who have no use but are in cats, adding "|helmet/armor etc]]" to cats in tooltips correcting some tags but i dunno what you think of me deleting Tooltip's thanks, like this one for example. Do you think it is rude if i delete them even if its been a while now? They look good in the "---" white box tho. And was thinking too, this may encourage people to help with the tooltip's views knowing they will be credit and now forgotten. What do you think? --Hikaru 07:09, 4 November 2015 (UTC)

I only remove the thanks if I get a new visual of the item (such as the full tooltip body). If I get it from the same person I leave it. This information is always available in the file history, as long as people remember to do it when they upload the file (or if it's edited in they can check the file history tab, but that's not as good regarding files). Yes, we should retain this information whenever possible. We never mention individuals in the mainspace, but here we're talking about the filespace of a gaming wiki. SK's community is generally a lot more willing to help if they feel their contributions are acknowledged in some way. It's also prudent to source things whenever possible for authentication reasons, and images certainly have a source. I almost always forget to mention "this example was found on the Auction House during the relevant promotion" etc. due to rapid uploads and it being the default mostly-reliable-due-to-unknown-players-putting-things-up source for many promotion items. --Novaster 15:05, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
But I always ask if they want to remain anonymous, I have a few that do, especially for rare items so people don't go after them trying to make them sell it etc. I try to remember to say thanks to user: "Anonymous" for sharing this item in that case. It's all somewhat silly in general. --Novaster 16:13, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
Oh! i see :)! Well, i get the tooltips from Auction House, but i really dont feel like putting that. I think we can stick to only "Thanks to user:" when someone help with sharing the item via Trade Windows (and the annonimous for what u just said too) because i think it is obvious that if it doesnt have the "Thanks to" it is taken from a public space (AH) so, while navigating, people would see the white "---" table and know the credit is for a User, but if they see nothing they know it was taken from AH. Seems better to me. Do we stick to it? I think i erase a few while adding cats till i notice "oh wait" and came here to tell you, but i havent even start with "cleaning" the cat/tags of the files yet, so i will restore the ones i delete by mistake and/or without know.
This would be my "method" of "cleaning" the galleries from costumes and accessories:
  • Tooltip animations would be like this (that is singular, plural will replace "This one is " by "Those one are ", tell me if its good because "Those" and "These" are confusing words for me xD)
  • Preview images AND Equipped images would be like this (same with singular "this" and plural "those", only if the file represent a group, for example, Tails Tails and Golden Laurel are unique so they would have just the representative tag)
  • Overworld animations would be like this this, but i wanted to ask, when it is some especific item (like this), what do you think, do i add the acc tag or the representative tag?
Sorry for the long reply this is a silly edit but i notice some preview are in Acc cat, others in the Representative cat, some have what the item is, others dont, so i want to make ALL of these files the same. In the Animations, i put the APNG tag first because i though u did the same so people could see the "Don't see the animation" first --Hikaru 20:41, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
Yeah I'm gonna wait a bit for examples to show up on the AH before digging in to the work. I can make a template for what you're trying to do. I often find images around other wikis where the picture includes other entities and it drives me insane not knowing what they are as a noob and I have to do some crazy digging to figure it out. But this would work for our representative images as well. So, guess I know what I'm doing today! --Novaster 20:47, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
So yeah I really wish other wikis would do something similar to Template:ImageInfo for images such as this WHAT ELSE IS HE WEARING? WHAT IS THAT DINOSAUR? (I know what they are, but you get the idea - a new player wouldn't!) This should work for our "representative images" of single tooltip entities too, but is more useful for things such as this. --Novaster 21:12, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
Oh i like it :D! But couldnt be a way to all be include in the template? Correct me in any mistakes xD. Like... Im gonna use the Aura-Preview as example for what im trying to explain:
{{ImageInfo
|type = an Aura
|name = Snowfall Aura
|personal color = Ultramarine
|height modifier = Extra Tall
|helmet = Polar Day Wolf Hood
|armor = Polar Day Wolf Coat
|others =
Polar Wings
Polar Crest
}}

It will show the same as the actual (maybe we could add the acc's icons+text tinier compared to the helmet-armor-main item but you dont have to add *{{equip|Item}} and the "As well as:". --Hikaru 21:38, 4 November 2015 (UTC)

Yeah you can just stick that template in there if you feel it fits. --Novaster
I might be able to modify Template:Appearance for easy use, just a few minutes. Working on something else atm too. --Novaster 21:52, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
Oh yeah, but i meant in the ImageInfo format only, i prefer icons of the equip template and we leave the apparecente template for NPCpages and others formats (not image's description). Do you mind if i try to make that example up there in the template? It makes me show you what i mean and learn a little more the code stuff ^^ --Hikaru 22:06, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
Agh icons. Lemme try one more time - don't want an edit conflict. --Novaster 22:17, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
How's that? --Novaster 22:25, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
It is good, well, the apparence template can stay but i think the Snowfall Aura (in this case) would be top, and the rest of the information above. I mean, the name itself said "Aura-Preview" so the aura is main but wanted to make it clear that is the focus item there, then, the extras (what else the knight have). For some reason i find the {{equip| kinda annoying in this case xD. I mean, i do like it with icons, that is no doubt, but the "equip" template i think it would need to be inside the code, thats why i was thinking the apparence's template wouldnt fit because it works good without the equip template. I will try to make the edits in the ImageInfo's template without too many savepage-edit --Hikaru 22:43, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
Oh well go for it. We can look at it later before going nuts implementing it. There's lots of...citrine...things to do. --Novaster 22:52, 4 November 2015 (UTC)

Well, I might be done wiki-ing for today. I just noticed that the new citrine stuff just does not match citrine rose, and for some reason this tipped me over into an "I don't want to edit" mode. Yeah. --Novaster 22:36, 4 November 2015 (UTC)

I didnt expect that haha, it is a nice tone of yellow tho, not like regal Dx. Havent see much because there was only one item in AH xD. I would add the common "Prize Box Release" method and create the redirects if my time is enough ^^. You can do relaxing stuff then haha (i see websites or videos xD) --Hikaru 22:43, 4 November 2015 (UTC)

OTL overload...So... check the template and the preview... I tried, i really tried T-T. Check the template's history to see my agony. I better keep the pro stuff to you (a.k.a. coding/templates) --Hikaru 08:38, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
P.D: Couldnt do anything of the Citrine's prize box today, was busy :(! I can make them tomorrow tho. Sorry for that, i just uploaded the small and big image of the news --Hikaru 08:40, 5 November 2015 (UTC)

Oh jeeze thanks for doing the redirects, those drive me crazy. I had a go at fixing up the imageinfo again. --Novaster 21:51, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
Though you might (you told me xD) so i helped with the Redirects now that i could :). Btw really thanks! haha i did a mess and couldnt make it work out ;_; This song express my feelings last night after just 30 minutes of trying xD. It does work, the main item and the extra items with icons and all! Thanks alot, really, what would it be of this wiki without your templates/codes ;_; --Hikaru 22:27, 5 November 2015 (UTC)

Arkus

Can't remember if we get to talk to Arkus in-game (without the Comlink). What can we add in the Mugshot's file? The Monster image with transparency? --Hikaru 22:00, 7 November 2015 (UTC)

Can't remember either. Probably snatch something from the cutscene. --Novaster 22:53, 7 November 2015 (UTC)
Alright then~ just in case :3! --Hikaru 03:01, 8 November 2015 (UTC)

DoR Source

Though u didnt see the history of the template. There are two 13 July 2012 in it, dunno which is correct (or better) to leave --Hikaru 03:01, 8 November 2015 (UTC)

Fixed. I give dates that are in the sortable table across multple pages priority. The Guardian stuff isn't in a sortable table so it doesn't really use DoRSource (it could but bleh, complicate things). --Novaster 03:13, 8 November 2015 (UTC)
Ohh thx~ Im no good with the DoR xD! --Hikaru 09:08, 8 November 2015 (UTC)

Fileinfo template

Saw you change the template, but you forgot the "main item" icon D: --Hikaru 09:14, 8 November 2015 (UTC)

I took that out because it is redundant. --Novaster 23:28, 8 November 2015 (UTC)
Well, then can i add a bold font to the parameter 2? --Hikaru 23:30, 8 November 2015 (UTC)
I would link per individual page instead (not make it mandatory within the template!) The linking would make it stand out and we wouldn't be using bold format haphazardly. --Novaster 23:32, 8 November 2015 (UTC)
Well in that case i prefer leaving it as they are right now. I probably gonna start adding them in a while, or tomorrow --Hikaru 23:55, 8 November 2015 (UTC)

For the Overworld animation's of accesories (check Flame Aura) i will not add the whole costume. I mean, unless you remember what those characters were wearing xD i cant see all the items (acc, helmet, armor, etc) in that tiny square. Also, i can "imagine" what personal color they are but would be a blind guess (specially for the Green and Blue tones). So, instead of having weird guesses i used only parameter 1 and 2. To new overworld's animation we can ask people or take note of what color and height are they, and what is the helmet+armor with which accs. And if someone is REALLY that bored he can analize the oveworld-shoot to note the equipment x-x. I will do exceptions on , for example, Dreadful Aura-Overworld, because the acc gives an special effect and we dont want people to think that aura does that effect. In the preview files i will do it ofc im not that blind with the size of the preview xD --Hikaru 22:10, 9 November 2015 (UTC)

Yeah I wouldn't work on that right now. It's a small side project compared to mission and NPC pages, and the eventual monster overhaul a few ppl are looking forward to. --Novaster 22:12, 9 November 2015 (UTC)

Bossinfo template

So, do we replace that template with the NPC? seems better because it NPC do the same funtion as Boss but better haha --Hikaru 23:26, 8 November 2015 (UTC)

I've been thinking about just cleaning up the boss template. Having the elaborate NPC template for the more...primitive/less sapient bosses doesn't make much sense. --Novaster 23:29, 8 November 2015 (UTC)
Ok then, gonna leave bosses as they are :) --Hikaru 23:31, 8 November 2015 (UTC)

NPCs Pages Report

I officially cleaned my mess xD. I dont think some bad format was left. Snarbylord save me an error :). P.D: Impostorclaus doesnt have a format, could u add the proper? --Hikaru 07:38, 9 November 2015 (UTC)

As long as it's fun... I've uploaded pictures of Archilus so we can really see what the page will look like when it's finished. IDK if you were really gunning to do those, so I only did them for Archilus just for page testing. --Novaster 14:33, 9 November 2015 (UTC)

Furious Fork cats

I recently found someone with a Furious Fork, so I could add cats (meow) and a note, but there's one special effect I'm not sure about. It has a small light trail coming from the end, which is visible when the player moves for about as long as the Volcanic Pepperbox's smoke, but I don't really know where it belongs. Trailing, maybe? --Snarbylord 5:12, 9 December 2015 (UTC)

I would tend to agree. There are a few things with light trails (Prime Bombhead Mask has a tiny one). When it comes to these colloquial categories, just do what you think will help players the most. Like if you were looking for trailing, is that something you'd want to see when searching for items? The human eye and mind are pretty unique per individual, so we can only do our best with color codes and consistent graphic settings :). --Novaster 13:18, 10 December 2015 (UTC)
I'm still not sure, but I think I'll go with Trailing. It's closest to that, I think... --Snarbylord 22:39, 10 December 2015 (UTC)

Impostoclaus Dialogue (Save Winterfest)

Impostoclaus also says "Glorp! If I had bones, they'd be broken!" or something similar while being attacked. I don't really have time at the moment to log on and check exactly what it is and when he says it, though.

(I was going to add this in the summary, but decided not to. While deleting it, I accidentally unchecked "minor edit"...) --Snarbylord 19:55, 20 December 2015 (UTC)

Oh, never had that trigger. Please add it when you discover the circumstances. --Novaster 19:57, 20 December 2015 (UTC)

Re: Userspace

What page are you talking about? Are you talking about my Kamilchan page? Is that the one that has to be deleted?

If it is, that page is linked to my account and is one of the knights that I use in game. My other knight who I also have in game is Vinita. It'd be very confusing as to which knight I play as if I had both on the same page and it would just be cluttered and jumbled and they wouldn't know what equipment belonged to the knight.

I'm sorry if I sound confused, it's because I am and it's not fun being slam dunked in the trash can being told "no" whenever I try to do something I think is right. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Heinchan (talkcontribs) . Please sign your posts with ~~~~

Replied on user talk page. --Novaster 22:45, 31 December 2015 (UTC)
I'm sorry, I didn't know what to do which is why I created that page. It won't happen again. I'll try to get better about editing the wiki in the future as well. I'm sorry for this incident.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Heinchan (talkcontribs) . Please sign your posts with ~~~~
It's fine, we all learn as we go. All the work you did is in page history, so don't fret about the time lost, your work is saved, but immediate action has to be taken for namespace issues. I would have moved the content myself if I had known it was for your alt (vs. another individual). When in doubt, we follow the same rules as wikipedia, except when it comes to certain capitalization issues with in-game entities. --Novaster 23:01, 31 December 2015 (UTC)

Vendor List Changes

Should I make changes on the following pages?:

Punch and Vise - These don't give actual items but just services

Supply Depot - Not actually a vendor

Boost, Ursula, Quince, Rudkin - Obsolete

Personal tools
