A Prize Box is a usable that presents a player with select rewards when opened. Most Prize Boxes are obtained from in-game purchases with real-world currency. Others have been available from the Supply Depot or Maskwell. They do not require a key to be opened, unlike a Lockbox.

Promotional Prize Boxes

These boxes are only directly available during certain periods of time (announced in forums and on the main spiral knights page).

Ancient Prize Box

Contains various unique items fashioned in the ancient, veiled homeland of the tortodrones. Items are randomly chosen. No key is required to open.

These prize boxes were given (by the Haven Treasury) to players who made select Energy purchases during the Ancient Prize Box Promotion in February 2014.

Forge Prize Box

Contains valuable rarities and other assorted items. Items are randomly chosen. No key is required to open.

A Forge Prize Box has a small chance to be earned by upgrading gear that is either 3★, 4★, or 5★ with the maximum amount of Fire Crystals in the Forge.

This type of box was introduced in July 2013, with this Forum Announcement.

Notes

As of April, 2014 (with the Blooming Prize Box Promotion), prize boxes are generally purchased directly using real-world currency and are not sold with purchases of Energy.
