As always, use whatever gear you are most comfortable with, as long as it does not interfere with the strategies and success of the squad. Some gear can be significantly more expensive than others, so you should always factor in economics when considering loadout options for missions. Will the gear help with only a few specific areas, or many? Will it pay for itself quickly, if at all? There is usually more than one way to solve problems - these are what work for many players.
Knights may take the time to enjoy the beauty and splendor of Starlight Cradle's nighttime scenery, but, they should also keep an eye out for the many Sloom and Sloombargo Lichens residing, because enjoying it without guard can lead them to their abrupt slumbers, that may lead them to quick defeats. It's essential to gear up on some Shadow damage weapons and Pierce resistant gear to survive the numerous Lichens, along with some pierce and elemental weapons to deal with Chromalisks, Lumbers, even, on occasions, the Gun Puppies.
