The Hot Edge is a 1-star sword.
Contents
Description
A modified Proto Sword capable of generating temperatures high enough to burn organic material.
Attacks
Basic Attack
Able to attack up to 3 times. The second and third hits moving you towards the direction you aim. The third hit has a small chance to set enemies on fire.
Charge Attack
A forward-arc swing, followed by two forward explosions that may inflict Fire.

- Mission 2-2 Time to Get Crafty (Damage bonus vs construct: high; bound)

Acquisition
The Hot Edge is also a reward for new-players who sign up for Spiral Knights through Aeria Games. It comes bundled along with the: Ignition Set, Spitfire, Hot Edge, Firecracker, and Emberbreak Shield. (All rewards are bound.)
Recipe
The 1-star recipe for this item costs 250 crowns; the alchemy cost is 200 crowns. Below are the materials needed to make the Hot Edge.
