Notes
The spawning and despawning behavior of lost souls indicate an ability to appear and disappear in certain locations. The passive Lost Soul in Blackstone Bridge seems to be in both the the beginning and end of the floor, but this could easily be two different souls, and this seems to be the more likely scenario, considering the Lost Soul (Shroud of the Apocrea).
The skull has a similar appearance to the one seen inside a Soul Jelly, indicating another connection between souls and this particular type of skull.
Appearance:
It is unknown if the skull is worn, possessed, or has any connection to the soul's past life.
The function of the skull is unknown. Speculations include:
- It stabilizes high-energy souls with a tangible container. Souls wearing the skull seem to be more anchored in the plain, boasting more energy and less bobbing, and certainly a lot less self-destruction.
- To indicate individuality to an extent, considering that souls who wear skulls are the only ones with names. Not all souls with skulls have names of their own, however.
List
- Estavio in Moorcroft Manor
- Hector in Moorcroft Manor
- Lost Soul in Blackstone Bridge
