Introductions

Greetings, <Insert Name of Knight Here>!

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Another-Guy, and I... really can't think of anything more to add to that, to be honest. :x

I joined the Spiral Knights community shortly after the game went live on Steam, and after playing for about a year now, I've finally decided to sit down and create a user page for no reason whatsoever! Huzzah!

Feel free to keep reading if you want, but be warned! There are things about me that no one should probably know... BUT thankfully, I've decided to keep this clean, so you shouldn't have to worry about that! :D

About Me

In-Game

I'm a 5-star knight at Vanguard rank with Tier 2 Shadow Lair clearance. While I was previously a bomber by vocation, I've more recently come to try my hand at swords and guns, and nowadays, I consider myself a full-on hybrid, with Skolver, Volcanic Demo, and soon-to-be-finished Shadowsun armor sets as well as a varied assortment of swords, guns, and bombs to prove it. I frequently run through the Firestorm Citadel for profit and often visit the Arcade every once in a while, for old times' sake. You'll often find me roaming aimlessly about Haven every now and again, usually either talking with friends, checking the Auction House, or just chilling in the garden.

I can be easily recognized wearing my distinctive Sniped Stranger Hat and Volcanic Demo Suit combo with a Military Game Face and Azure Guardian Crest to match. Occasionally, you might spot me sporting a Shadowsun Stetson and Skolver Coat combo, but usually, I prefer to venture with my Snipe partner, Archimedes (who, to clear up any misconceptions, is, in-fact, a girl), whenever I'm out and about. I'm not really into accessorizing, but since one's personal image plays a great part in first impressions, I usually try to look my best. Chances are, if you see me wearing something else, I'm either heating it or working on a new outfit. :P

Other Facts About Me

• According to my files, I've officially been a part of the Spiral Knights community since June 15, 2011.
• I've unlocked every Achievement in the game, with Fully Loaded being my last one. [1]
• I've successfully gone through the Firestorm Citadel solo in the Proto set, with no deaths. (I'd link the pictures, but I can't seem to find them. Looks like I'll have to do another run sometime. Sorry about that. :<)
• I've also UNsuccessfully gone through the Firestorm Citadel solo using only Shadow weapons, with no deaths. (I made it to phase 5 of the fight against Vanaduke. Unfortunately, I found out first-hand that the rumor of him being completely immune to Shadow damage in this phase was, in-fact, TRUE and gave up on the run at that point. Nothing says I won't reattempt this in the future, however. ;3)[2]
• I once managed to find two rare items drops in one FSC run, a Pepperbox and a Graviton Bomb, through an absolutely incredible stroke of dumb luck, getting me about 85,000 crowns for absolutely nothing. :D [3]
• I actually completed my first Tier 3 run with only one piece of 4-star equipment (a Vitasuit Deluxe) thanks to a friend named Shumor.[4]
• During another one of my FSC runs, I ran into a Soul Jelly, one of the rarest monsters in the game.[5]
• I managed to meet GM Atalanta and complete my first Shadow Lair in the same run.[6][7]

Out-of-Game

In real life, I'm a 3rd year Computer Science student currently working towards a career in video game development, living in Florida. While Spiral Knights is my main video game at the moment, I also like to play games like Team Fortress 2, The Binding of Isaac, and Super Meat Boy, and as much as I enjoy playing games, I'm actually working on a prototype of a game myself, at the moment.

While my main interests revolve greatly around video games, I also dabble quite a bit in the Maths and Sciences, receiving an Associate of Arts degree in Engineering literally 3 weeks before earning my High School Diploma, due to my Dual Enrollment status at Northwest Florida State College. (For whatever reason, the school district decided to make college graduation 3 weeks before that of high schools. :P) My altogether favorite subject throughout my education has been Calculus, and although I consider video games my passion, I've also considered math majors, such as Number Theory, from time to time.

Don't think I'm some sort of staunch math nerd who shuts himself off from the outside world, though :3. I like to goof off every now and again, looking up YouTube videos, hanging out with friends, and even just running around the city with my earbuds blasting music along the way. I like to think of myself as a fun person, even if I do tend to ramble on every now and again. :P
