(put dread velvet into a more fitting section. Please discuss what makes a boss a boss in the recent forum node: 101137 before stating any parameters of classification as set "have to" rules.)
(grammar fixes..."its" not "it's" etc. Tidied up the big iron strategy, but need confirmation for laser burst number, as that data was partially missing and I did gitm today, so I can't check atm.)

|description= The mini boss of Ghosts in the machine. A large, yet sentient, Battlepod of sorts fixed to the chamber's floor. It had been inactive for hundreds of years around the time the distress signal was sent, as many told, but when anyone, be it a group or solo, steps on it's activation button, the Big Iron somehow activates without falling apart from aging and goes to work on eradicating Knights from it's sight. When it's active, it will summon 2 monster spawns that change between Surgebots, Volt Knights and Voltrodes, and 2 files of 2 shock balls in circular orbit around it for defense.

|description= The mini boss of Ghosts in the machine. It is a large Battlepod-like enemy that is fixed to the chamber's floor. When it's active, it will go through three stages if enough damage is dealt per stage. Tendril-like "wires" constantly erupt out of the ground, target the player, and stab downward, burrowing back into the ground. These wires have health, but they appear and disappear so quickly that fighting with the intent of damaging them is moot. Shock spheres orbit The Big Iron for most of the fight. The Big Iron fires a number of laser beams in random directions. The Big Iron can only be damaged when its mouth is open. Its mouth will open after it fires lasers a few times. The number of times differs per stage:
 +

 +
*First stage: Electronics glow yellow. summons a monster spawner in the upper left, which can spawn one Surgebot, Volt Knight or Voltrode at a time. Up to 2 wires may appear.
 +
**The Big Iron fires 2 lasers at once, 4 times, before its mouth opens.
 +

 +
*Second stage: Electronics glow orange. Adds another monster spawner with the same behavior as the first to the upper right area of the fight. Up to 4 wires may appear.
 +
**The Big Iron fires 4-6 lasers at once, ??? times, before its mouth opens.
 +

 +
*Third stage: Electronics glow red.
 +
**The Big Iron fires 6-8 lasers at once, ??? times, before its mouth opens.

The Big Iron consists of 3 phases:

*It's first phase only has 1 spawn, up to 2 wires break the ground and try to hit the players and fires 2 lasers beams in a random direction. After 4 laser fires its shield will break and give opportunity to him it. It's eye and monitor color is yellow at that phase.

*It's second phase has 2 spawns and up to 4 wires and 4 lasers at once. It's eye and monitors also changes to an orange color.

*It's third and last phase has up to 6 wires and fires 6-8 lasers at once. It's eye color changes to red with a Danger symbol on it. Same goes for it's monitors, too. After inflicting enough damage, the Big Iron shuts down, but for good this time.

*Extraordinary weapon reach - this Trojan's attacks seem to be able to reach twice as far as any other's.

*No immunity to frontal damage - you can hit him from any side, but the frontal damage is substantially reduced.

A red Creep Cake who acts as the final enemy of the "A Gremlin in Knead" mission. Dread Velvet was revealed to be hiding under Groat's chef hat as the battle went on (the player initially fights Groat for the first few stages of this fight). Dread Velvet seems to be responsible for creating Current Cakes, and was possessing Groat by perching on Groat's head. Dread Velvet appears in the later stages of the final battle as a Batterbot form. After this form is destroyed this mini-boss will act like a normal Creep Cake and can rarely inflict curse.

A Boss is an unusual monster that appears in a special location in the Clockworks. Most bosses share the same weaknesses and resistances as their monster families. Bosses are much stronger than other monsters, and defeating them often requires clever tactics.

There are four main bosses, which appear at the end of each tier. These bosses drop tokens, which can be exchanged for rewards at Brinks. More powerful versions of the four main bosses appear in the Shadow Lairs. The shadow bosses drop more tokens than the regular bosses.

In addition to the four bosses and their shadow versions, eight other mini-bosses are scattered throughout the missions. These mini-bosses do not drop tokens, although some of them offer other rewards.
