It's Vanaduke, dummy!

Lv10 DA, maximum sword damage bonus at 24 Firestorm Citadel.

===>Bonuses===
+
First hit deals 437 damage, while the charge's slash deals 806.
* Low: 1 point<br>
+
I strike a zombie twice with the first hit, and he doesn't die; However, using the charge's slash instantly kills zombies. This is not some odd thing of a zombie spawning with a higher tier setting and more health or whatever; I've tested it on multiple zombies, all of them taking the same damage as always.
* Medium: 2 points<br>
+
* High: 3 points<br>
+
* Very High: 4 points<br>
+
* Ultra: 5 points<br>
+
* Maximum: 6 points
+

Maximum is obviously the limit.
+
After a bit of further testing, a couple zombies seemed to die after two hits, and some seemed to survive the charge; After running the same depth a couple times, it seems that the health mobs spawn with is slightly variable.

}}

However, note that this is only for weapon relating bonuses; Charge Reduction, Attack Speed, and Damage Bonus. Unique Variants for defense/resist on armors or shields do not cap out at this maximum. In this case, it simply works as the indicator for the quality.
+
{{showhide|Rocket Hammer, Sealed Swords and Tier variation|content=
 +
There seems to be an odd effect when comparing pure and split damage weapons; Perhaps due to how earlier tiers interpret damage in general, compared to T3.

'''Damage Bonuses'''<br>
+
On tier 1, comparing a fully heated Gran Faust to a fully heated Warmaster Rocket Hammer, it seems the hammer is overall more powerful; Dealing around 100 damage to constructs, while the Gran Faust deals about 80 to gremlins. Oddly, this doesn't seem to be the case for T3 - No exact numbers yet, but comparing a DA's damage to the Rocket Hammer's, the Rocket Hammer is overall weaker on T3.
Depth 27, Leviathan Blade with VS Fiend High, no other damage bonuses:
+
* Normal hit: 200
+
** Normal combo finish: 254
+
** Normal charge attack: 378
+
* Fiend hit: 243
+
** Fiend combo finish: 303
+
** Fiend charge attack: 442
+

So ~45 extra damage from a High. This is for Leviathans, of course - It seems there's a set amount of damage increased which differs depending on the weapon use. On Leviathan, it seems like the increase is on percentages, however I'm unsure how exactly it works - A VS Undead Medium DA's charge still only increases by the base amount, instead of percentage. Would need more testing on different weapons.
+
This requires more extensive testing.

So yeah. The damage differences are pretty small - I'd say Leviathan is much more useful. You lose only a bit of damage on one specific race while dealing a bit more to all the other five.

And as a note, remember, this was on T3. The damage difference is even smaller on T2 or T1. (I think it'd be 10 damage difference rather than 20 on T2, and ~5 for T1)
