===Source of Tooltips===
+
Should I make changes on the following pages?:
So, you may have notice that im messing with images, deleting those who have no use but are in cats, adding <nowiki>"|helmet/armor etc]]"</nowiki> to cats in tooltips correcting some tags but i dunno what you think of me deleting Tooltip's thanks, like [[:File:Sapphire Aura-Equipped.png|this]] one for example. Do you think it is rude if i delete them even if its been a while now? They look good in the "---" white box tho. And was thinking too, this may encourage people to help with the tooltip's views knowing they will be credit and now forgotten. What do you think? --[[User:HikaruFer|Hikaru]] 07:09, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
+

:I only remove the thanks if I get a new visual of the item (such as the full tooltip body). If I get it from the same person I leave it. This information is always available in the file history, as long as people remember to do it when they upload the file (or if it's edited in they can check the file history tab, but that's not as good regarding files). Yes, we should retain this information whenever possible. We never mention individuals in the mainspace, but here we're talking about the filespace of a gaming wiki. SK's community is generally a lot more willing to help if they feel their contributions are acknowledged in some way. It's also prudent to source things whenever possible for authentication reasons, and images certainly have a source. I almost always forget to mention "this example was found on the Auction House during the relevant promotion" etc. due to rapid uploads and it being the default mostly-reliable-due-to-unknown-players-putting-things-up source for many promotion items. --[[User:Novaster|Novaster]] 15:05, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
+
Punch and Vise - These don't give actual items but just services
:But I always ask if they want to remain anonymous, I have a few that do, especially for rare items so people don't go after them trying to make them sell it etc. I try to remember to say thanks to user: "Anonymous" for sharing this item in that case. It's all somewhat silly in general. --[[User:Novaster|Novaster]] 16:13, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
+

::Oh! i see :)! Well, i get the tooltips from Auction House, but i really dont feel like putting that. I think we can stick to only "Thanks to user:" when someone help with sharing the item via Trade Windows (and the annonimous for what u just said too) because i think it is obvious that if it doesnt have the "Thanks to" it is taken from a public space (AH) so, while navigating, people would see the white "---" table and know the credit is for a User, but if they see nothing they know it was taken from AH. Seems better to me. Do we stick to it? I think i erase a few while adding cats till i notice "oh wait" and came here to tell you, but i havent even start with "cleaning" the cat/tags of the files yet, so i will restore the ones i delete by mistake and/or without know.

Supply Depot - Not actually a vendor

::This would be my "method" of "cleaning" the galleries from costumes and accessories:<br>
+
Boost, Ursula, Quince, Rudkin - Obsolete
::*Tooltip animations would be like [[:File:Aura-tooltip_animation.png|this]] (that is singular, plural will replace "This one is " by "Those one are ", tell me if its good because "Those" and "These" are confusing words for me xD)
+
::*Preview images AND [[:File:Monster Pocket-Equipped.png|Equipped]] images would be like [[:File:Aura-Preview.png|this]] (same with singular "this" and plural "those", only if the file represent a group, for example, Tails Tails and Golden Laurel are unique so they would have just the representative tag)
+
::*Overworld animations would be like this [[:File:Clockwork_Crest-Overworld.png|this]], but i wanted to ask, when it is some especific item (like [[:File:Chroma Whelp Monster Pocket-Overworld.png|this]]), what do you think, do i add the acc tag or the representative tag?
+

::Sorry for the long reply this is a silly edit but i notice some preview are in Acc cat, others in the Representative cat, some have what the item is, others dont, so i want to make ALL of these files the same. In the Animations, i put the APNG tag first because i though u did the same so people could see the "Don't see the animation" first --[[User:HikaruFer|Hikaru]] 20:41, 4 November 2015 (UTC)

Also, what type are vials and vitapods? Materials? --[[User:Snarbylord|Snarbylord]] 02:21, 2 January 2016 (UTC)

:I'll look into this more deeply tomorrow, or possibly later tonight. Vials are [[pickup]]s, vitapods are [[consumable]]s. Leave obsolete pages alone. Leave Punch and Vise alone, I have something else in mind involving tickets. We can't even edit the Supply Depot page (it is protected because it directly involves the "real money" in-game currency of energy), and it's very different from an NPC vendor, so we would leave it alone anyway. --[[User:Novaster|Novaster]] 03:36, 2 January 2016 (UTC)

::Alright, thanks. But what type are materials? Tokens?
 +
:::Materials don't really have a subtype, just leave it blank. Subtype is something we do to help users, it's not really an in-game arsenal-influencing thing. --[[User:Novaster|Novaster]] 20:24, 2 January 2016 (UTC)

:::Yeah I'm gonna wait a bit for examples to show up on the AH before digging in to the work. I can make a template for what you're trying to do. I often find images around other wikis where the picture includes other entities and it drives me insane not knowing what they are as a noob and I have to do some crazy digging to figure it out. But this would work for our representative images as well. So, guess I know what I'm doing today! --[[User:Novaster|Novaster]] 20:47, 4 November 2015 (UTC)

==File Uploads==
:::So yeah I really wish other wikis would do something similar to [[:Template:ImageInfo]] for [http://terraria.gamepedia.com/File:TerraBladeAnimation.gif images such as this] WHAT ELSE IS HE WEARING? WHAT IS THAT DINOSAUR? (I know what they are, but you get the idea - a new player wouldn't!) This should work for our "representative images" of single tooltip entities too, but is more useful for things such as [[:File:Aura-Preview.png|this]]. --[[User:Novaster|Novaster]] 21:12, 4 November 2015 (UTC)

About my images: sorry, I just ripped icons from Wayback Machine didn't realise I had to get full images [[User:Edge97|Edge97]]

::::Oh i like it :D! But couldnt be a way to all be include in the template? Correct me in any mistakes xD. Like... Im gonna use the Aura-Preview as example for what im trying to explain:

==APNG images==
<pre>

{{ImageInfo

|name            = Snowfall Aura

It will show the same as the actual (maybe we could add the acc's icons+text tinier compared to the helmet-armor-main item but you dont have to add <nowiki>*{{equip|Item}}</nowiki> and the "As well as:". --[[User:HikaruFer|Hikaru]] 21:38, 4 November 2015 (UTC)

APNG works only with Firefox and doesn't have enough support by software

::Oh yeah, but i meant in the ImageInfo format only, i prefer icons of the equip template and we leave the apparecente template for NPCpages and others formats (not image's description). :I'm not sure what your point is with APNG. It works with other browsers and it's what we use on this wiki. What do you mean "make images of rare items"? What would be an example? ::The reason APNG is used on the wiki is because it uses the .png extension. The GMs won't add additional file types or change the configuration, so that's what we gotta use if we want something better than GIF. --[[User:Icytea|Icytea]] 06:41, 4 June 2016 (UTC)
::How's that? --[[User:Novaster|Novaster]] 22:25, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
+

:::It is good, well, the apparence template can stay but i think the Snowfall Aura (in this case) would be top, and the rest of the information above. I mean, the name itself said "Aura-Preview" so the aura is main but wanted to make it clear that is the focus item there, then, the extras (what else the knight have). For some reason i find the '''<nowiki>{{equip|</nowiki>''' kinda annoying in this case xD. I mean, i do like it with icons, that is no doubt, but the "equip" template i think it would need to be inside the code, thats why i was thinking the apparence's template wouldnt fit because it works good without the equip template. I will try to make the edits in the ImageInfo's template without too many savepage-edit --[[User:HikaruFer|Hikaru]] 22:43, 4 November 2015 (UTC)

Well, I might be done wiki-ing for today. I just noticed that the new citrine stuff just does not match citrine rose, and for some reason this tipped me over into an "I don't want to edit" mode. Yeah. --[[User:Novaster|Novaster]] 22:36, 4 November 2015 (UTC)

== About Shroud ==
 +
About recent edits to the Shroud of the Apocrea page, I just wanted to explain my reasoning on the edit. Since Haven has had the same visual effect during every Shroud event, I removed the reference in the calendar on the most recent one, thinking that it had been mentioned up above. It turns out this wasn't the case on a second look. I won't remove the mention again, but do you think it might be suited better listed under the first event's details section on the calendar? --[[User:Wired Wolf|Wired Wolf]] 6:15, 5 June 2016 (UTC)
 +
:No, because that particular spooky weather effect was for the Dark Harvest Festival (the third instance of DHF occurred simultaneously with the first Apocrea in 2013, confusing many players), and had nothing to do with Apocrea - no Apocrea events had their own spooky weather in Haven until the (current) 5th occurrence. If Apocrea continues to have spooky weather in future occurrences, then we will make a note of that in the bulk page text, and reword the calendar so that it's clear the 5th was the first time the weather was intended for Apocrea. Something like "as of this event, weather is blah." Avoid extrapolation and misleading historical information. --[[User:Novaster|Novaster]] 20:08, 7 June 2016 (UTC)

For the Overworld animation's of accesories (check Flame Aura) i will not add the whole costume. I mean, unless you remember what those characters were wearing xD i cant see all the items (acc, helmet, armor, etc) in that tiny square.  Also, i can "imagine" what personal color they are but would be a blind guess (specially for the Green and Blue tones). So, instead of having weird guesses i used only parameter 1 and 2. To new overworld's animation we can ask people or take note of what color and height are they, and what is the helmet+armor with which accs. And if someone is REALLY that bored he can analize the oveworld-shoot to note the equipment x-x. I will do exceptions on , for example, Dreadful Aura-Overworld, because the acc gives an special effect and we dont want people to think that aura does that effect. In the preview files i will do it ofc im not that blind with the size of the preview xD --[[User:HikaruFer|Hikaru]] 22:10, 9 November 2015 (UTC)

:Yeah I wouldn't work on that right now. It's a small side project compared to mission and NPC pages, and the eventual monster overhaul a few ppl are looking forward to. --[[User:Novaster|Novaster]] 22:12, 9 November 2015 (UTC)

===Furious Fork cats===
+
I recently found someone with a Furious Fork, so I could add cats (meow) and a note, but there's one special effect I'm not sure about. It has a small light trail coming from the end, which is visible when the player moves for about as long as the Volcanic Pepperbox's smoke, but I don't really know where it belongs. Trailing, maybe? --[[User:Snarbylord|Snarbylord]] 5:12, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
+
:I would tend to agree. There are a few things with light trails ([[Prime Bombhead Mask]] has a tiny one). When it comes to these colloquial categories, just do what you think will help players the most. Like if you were looking for trailing, is that something you'd want to see when searching for items? The human eye and mind are pretty unique per individual, so we can only do our best with color codes and consistent graphic settings :). --[[User:Novaster|Novaster]] 13:18, 10 December 2015 (UTC)

I am not an employee, just a very overly enthusiastic gamer and wiki editor. Keep edits here limited to things about the wiki that I've done, or that you are very sure I can help with. All my work is volunteer - and I value every moment :). That being said, I'll be happy to help if I can. My IGN is Novaster, same as my wiki account, so pop me a pm or mail in-game if you want to casually discuss things.
