Columns generally attempt to maintain links to the most recent and/or relevant information about a box, even though a given box can have more than one official staff post. Many boxes have had their method of acquisition and/or contents changed over time. A record of these changes and posts is maintained for historical note and future reference on individual pages. Much of this information is sensitive because it involves real-world currency and associated costs/odds are highly likely to change, so the list attempts to be informative while remaining ambiguous.^{Editor Forum Discussion}

For boxes that are not directly related to real-world currency, editors and users may post researched items and odds if these data are not provided by staff. Research posted on this wiki should be based on in-game observations, not external programs such as Spiral Spy (fun to use for many, but not good for a wiki! - discuss such things in an appropriate place, like the Forums).

This list is ordered by Date of Release when in default, with repeated boxes (like Solstice) using the first date of release to organize them within this default order. For more information about odds, cost to obtain, and so on, see pages linked to in the "Items and Odds" column.

For a list of more current events and boxes, see the news page or individual box pages. This page is merely a list of boxes that have been released, and should not be used as a source of news, because many boxes are re-released (sometimes with added or changed contents) as time goes on, and again, this list does not post repeated boxes in their own individual rows.

The "#" column is just to notify users of the relevance of a box for making sense of repeated, rather inconsistently patterned occurrences in a linear timeline, not the current availability of a box. Sort by the "#" column to bring up boxes that have been more recently released or re-released - these may or may not be currently available, as is the nature of most of these boxes.

The "Acquisition" column describes the method of acquisition of the most recent release of a box. Want to know which boxes you can get "for free" just by playing the game, even if it's only during certain times of the year? Sort this column and look for "Gameplay," or more rarely, "Giveaway."

The "General Contents" column intuitively describes the general contents of the box:

• Aesthetic = costumes and/or accessories, often with upgrades like trinket slots and usables like confetti.
• Furniture = Various furniture items that can be placed in a Guild Hall.
• Gear = weapons or other gear items, such as the Overcharged Mixmaster.
• Reskin = the box contains one or more gear items. The gear is simply a reskin of another gear item.
• Ticket = Unique Variant tickets, randomly possible to get one of 1, 2, or 3, unless otherwise stated.
• Other = unusual contents, such as battle sprite food or even other prize boxes.
