This loadout guide is for the 
Dangerous Mission: Compound 42. It is one of many guides made by players. As such, contents of this page are opinionated.

Loadout Disclaimer
As always, use whatever gear you are most comfortable with, as long as it does not interfere with the strategies and success of the squad. Some gear can be significantly more expensive than others, so you should always factor in economics when considering loadout options for missions. Will the gear help with only a few specific areas, or many? Will it pay for itself quickly, if at all? There is usually more than one way to solve problems - these are what work for many players.
This loadout guide for this mission is a Piercing+Elemental hybrid. One popular choice is the Dragon Scale, considering this set gives the corresponding defenses and fire resistance. Any additional resistance from UVs, trinkets, or perks can potentially grant immunity to wisp and oil status throughout the mission. Nearly all the monsters in this mission are weak to shadow.
A defensive shield, such as the Dragon Scale Shield, is highly recommended.
